It really depends on the style of dress and the details (beading, lace, etc.) on the dress. The best thing would be to take the picture to a professional (tailor/seamstress) and ask them.
I agree with the previous post, that taking in a dress depends upon the style and details on it. You will definitely want to consult with a professional seamstress before deciding to purchase the dress.
Also, if you go to http://www.jessicamcclintock.com you can view other gowns there and compare the prices to the one you are interested in. In general $225 is a great deal for a wedding dress. However, on the website there are a number of dresses that are below that price.
Happy planning!

Sorry, there are no users yet.
After an afternoon of browsing, I found someone in my area selling a NWT Jessic McClintock dress for only $225. It's a very simple design/cut with a one-button bustle, no bead-work or gathers, etc. It's a size 10. Typically I wear a size 8 wedding dress (and have had size 8's taken in). Is it a problem to take in a dress that much? It will have to be taken in about a size and a half. Is it going to majorly alter the look of the dress?
Also, is $225 a good deal on Jessica McClintock? I don't see this style currently on the designer website, but there are one's similar to it without prices listed.
I've already been through THREE wedding dresses, and I figure something simple is the way to go, since I seem to change my mind so often.
