I think this is like, totally impossible, but I’ve got it in my head that I could be pregnant.
Why I think it’s impossible (or very, very unlikely):
1. I’m on the pill, and I take it every day at the same time and have done so for the past 9 years
2. FI have only had sex once in the last month because we put ourselves on a “no sex until the wedding” plan in early September.
3. When we did have sex, he withdrew.
What made me think I could be pregnant:
1. I felt nauseated this afternoon. No big deal, I’ve been stressed and nausea isn’t that unusual for me, but then..,
2. I started smelling ALL THE THINGS. I went to the bathroom and could smell everything going on in the other offices – people’s perfume, people heating up food, stuff I normally can’t smell in the hallway with doors closed
3. I discovered on that same bathroom trip that I’m spotting.
No other symptoms that I can think of. I don’t really get my period anymore b/c of the BCP. I haven’t menstruated regularly in several years. Last week was the week I would get a period if I had them, but I never get them, only maybe once or twice a year. So that’s not unusual. And maybe once or twice a year Iwill also spot in between. So I’m probably just being paranoid.
FI thinks it’s close to impossible and I’m reading too much into this. What do you all think?

It seems unlikely since you’re on the pill and he withdrew. But, since you’re so worried, take a test.

Why don’t you just take a test, so you can stop worrying about it?

@Rachel631: because I’m sitting at my desk at work worried about it and the time ticks by reallllllllly slowly when you’re freaking out 😉

Take a test when you get off work!

The sense of smell was my first symptom. BUT, given the circumstances, it really seems unlikely. Just test and then you can relax. 🙂

You’re on the pill and he withdrew. This would be a miracle baby. I would stop stressing about it.

I was on birth control pills for over 5 years and used no other form of protection and never got pregnant. It seems very unlikely.

I thought I was pregnant from all the symptoms you listed and then found out I have endometriosis.
I’d rather be pregnant than have endo!

Honestly, you might be getting sick. That’s most likely!

You’re likely not pregnant, unless you’re the Virgin Mary and it’s an immaculate conception. Take a test to out your mind at ease but I don’t think you’re pregnant.

@SarahCF: I think I had an early miscarriage last November. I had the most extreme sense smell I’ve ever had in my life. I was so incredibly tired like I never felt so tired ever and everything smell wise was making me sick to my stomach and dry heaving. I sent my mom a text about the extreme bionic nose I called it and her first response was ut oh that only happened to me when I was pregnant. That just confirmed my suspicion. We both have a strong sense of smell to begin with. I just felt pregnant. I took a bunch of tests and none said I was pregnant, I was too far away from my expected period to read an at home test I think, anyway. I stopped taking my bc pills bc I was afraid if I was pregnant it would harm the development. I ended up having a very long and heavy period, so I never really will know if I got my period bc I stopped the pills or bc I miscarried.
A lot of period symptoms are also pregnancy symptoms. Some women just KNOW. Let us know it’s so frickin scary when you’re not ready to think about it.

@SarahCF: I’ve been waiting for a thread like this!!! I’m on BC too but at the moment I feel like I’m pregnant. I’m so exhausted, I get nauseated, etc, etc. I took a test but I think it’s too early anyway since my period isn’t due till next week so we’ll see. Let us know how you go 🙂

@SarahCF: the only way to know is to test. Once you start looking for symptoms you find them everywhere.
