We got married in Scotland (we live in the US). We spent a week in a fancy manor house in Scotland then flew to Barcelona for 5 days. I think those two (not including the flights from the US to Scotland) was about $4000, including food and everything.

We are going to Austin Texas, since I work in hotels we can make a roadtrip work with all of my discounts I recieve. 🙂 FI and I like to road trip a lot, so I guess that option was more ‘us’, we both LOVE Texas but have never been to Austin, and I hear that fall is a great time to go. So it’s perfect. 🙂

We are going on a cruise for 7 days. We have a delux balcony room and plan on getting a drink package  (alcohol, coffee and soda) and 3 excursions for about $3000. We are doing a honeymoon registry to help pay for it and for things like a couples massage.

We really splurged on our honeymoon, and spent one week in the Seychelles and two weeks in South Africa – a week on safari and a week in Capetown.  I was in between jobs at the time, and DH used banked vacation days at work.  We used frequent flier miles to pay for flights, but still spent an ungodly amount of money on our hotels and activities and meals.  So worth it though!

swonderful:  We have 10 days. We are going on a cruise for 5 and spending the other 5 in Charleston, SC. We are looing at about $4,000 right now. That does include food and essential things. It does not include spending money for excursions, souvenirs, etc. I am thinking at least another $2,500.

swonderful:  we are going to Bora Bora for 10 nights and with flight and hotel it comes up to $19,800. They don’t include food or activities so I’m sure by the time it is all said and done, it’ll be a whole lot more……

We wanted a big honeymoon and bora bora is an all time dream for the both of us so we couldn’t resist….. we are more excited over that, than the wedding
