Twice this week I’ve woken myself up talking in my sleep… and apparently I have a history of it:
When I was 6 and we moved into our new house, my mom was painting the hallway, and I slept in my sister’s room with her while the paint in my room was drying. Apparently I woke up, walked into the bathroom, turned in a circle, came back out, and said, “Mommy, mommy, look at my beautiful feet!” and then walked into my room and went to bed.
When DH had just moved in with me, we had a small argument before bed and were just kinda “huffy”. So I started drifting off to sleep, when suddenly I woke myself up saying, “I’m putting that in your portfolio!”. I was teaching at the time, so that kinda makes sense, but the fact that I was saying about DH like I was going to write him up just seemed silly.
Another time, after just drifting off to sleep, I yelled at him, “I can’t believe you bought that trailer!” after briefly dreaming that he told me he bought a trailer to haul something ridiculous with. I was pissed that he would buy it without telling me, and for such an assinine reason.
This week, I woke myself up in the middle of the night saying, “Where and when do you want me to pick you up?”. Hubby was looking at me funny, then we both fell back asleep.
This morning, I woke myself up screaming, “WOULD YOU JUST ONCE…!” while angrily slamming my fist on the bed. I think that really freaked DH out!
It’s been really entertaining waking up to DH’s expressions of confusion and amusement!
anybody else talk in their sleep? I know some of you ladies have probably said some pretty amusing things in your sleep, too!
