Do you talk to your SO during the work day?
I think there has been a post about this somewhat recently, but I was just curious.
I know I usually text him a few times, but since it was my day off today, I decided to call him at work (which I never really do, so I don't get too used to it/bother him) but it really gave me a happy boost to talk to him! =)
It depends on the day, we usually talk or e-mail at least once.
We talk once a day on the phone (he calls me because he's a teacher and I can never remember his class schedule)
We also email back and forth a couple of times.
I'm under the impression that he's probably a very busy man, so I leave him be.
Sometimes I will email him, but I try not to bother him. He says he doesn't mind if I do, and would appreciate it, but I guess with all of the other men in my life being busy when they are at work, I figure he is as well.

He works in construction so he doesn't always have his phone on him.. We text sometimes though.
We email or gchat throughout the day, usually. In some jobs I was able to talk to him on the phone, but not the current one (ZERO signal!). Mostly he emails me to ask me if he has plans on a certain day... as if I have his calendar memorized. :)
Thank god for unlimited text plans or we would be up a creek without a paddle!
We text back and forth through mostly the whole day. I'm harder to get ahold of because my job entitles more work from me with less breaks But, it depends on the day...where I am working..and what's he doing.
If I need something NOW or it's really important (like, I locked myself outta my car whoops!) I call him. He knows I wouldn't be calling unless it's important because he isn't supposed to have his phone on him....
If it's important, we talk on the phone. If not, we text 1-2x, usually at the end of the day.
We usually speak once throughout the day; we'll call. It's usually short, and "how's your day going?" or "did you remember to pick up...?" or "what are we doing tonight?" etc. but it's weird when I've had a busy day and realize at the end that I never spoke to him!
Few texts throughout the day, maybe an email if i'm like "hey look at this!". Rarely a phone call unless it's important. I have a desk job. When i waited tables, we didn't talk during my whole 8 hr shift
Since my hubby has gotten a new job he will try to call me at lunch but if not we text each other. He was a little more free at his last job so we talked or emailed often.
we're both pretty busy at work but we usually email and text back in forth all day!! :)
We email throughout the day, and call (rarely) if it's something urgent/important.
I love getting messages from him, it makes me smile. He's got a great sense of humour and I've laughed out loud at my desk once or twice (I'm in an office, so it doesn't bother other people). I don't know how I got through bad work days when he wasn't around.

Poor fiance went over his texting plan by 1400 messages the first month we were dating!!!! He drives a lot for work so is constantly bored aka constantly talking to me.
Sometimes it's a problem like when he calls bc he's bored and expects me to answer. We also gchat whenever he's in the office (I wish that was a poll option!) but I don't have an office and he does, so when people are talking to me and I can't reply, he doesn't get why I'm not talking. I can't wait till he has a new job (he's looking) so he will understand!!!
@kjpugs - i can empathize! before FI and I started dating, he didn't even HAVE a texting plan! But about a month in, he purchased 1500/month... then quickly switched up to unlimited, loL!
I only call him or text him when it's important. Like the time my machine sewed through my finger...
We IM fairly frequently, and if there's something urgent, I'll call or text him.
We both have desk jobs so we email through out the day. It breaks up the day for both of us. We only call if its something urgent.
We text during the day, and call if its something that requires more than a text. And he tries to come home a couple times a week to have lunch with me cuz I go home everyday for lunch
we text and email. I have the type of job where I can talk on the phone, but him not so much. I do get a buzz when we do get to talk on the phone every one in awhile though :)
We talk on IM on the computer for a few hours almost every afternoon.
Its different for us b/c we're a LDR & we need to get talk time where ever we can!
When I'm in town we don't talk much when he's at work. He'll just call to tell me what time he'll be home for lunch or where to meet him for lunch :)
We normally text each other a few times a day and then sometimes he'll call me in the afternoon when I get off work. If he's having a slow day at work, then we'll call and text throughout the day--like today :)
Pre-wedding and even up to about two months ago, we texted quite often but never really had phone conversations unless it was really important (he can't use his work email for personal stuff).
Within the past month, and especially the past week, we talk on the phone about five times a day plus texting. It's all wedding stuff too. I guess since we're down to the wire, we both feel (okay, okay, I feel!) that some stuff can't wait. But we really should stop, because I've been forgetting to use my "inside voice", heh!
We're always texting throughout the day. Some days we don't because we work in the court system (picture us being like hold on Judge, just gotta finish this convo) but when we do its always all day long!
I am online all day (clearly!) and would love if we could gchat more... but my poor bf hardly has any time during the day. He's always running around and busy. I'd say maybe 2-3 days/week we email back and forth about something, but a lot of days we just don't.
Occasionally we'll talk on FB, but for the most part we let each other concentrate on work.
gchat. a lot! he leaves work earlier than i do, so he'll sometimes call or text on his way home.
We'll occasionally text and I might call him every once in a while to see if he wants me to bring him lunch, but for the most part we let our work be work and our home time be home time. Mostly cause it's hard to text at work with people everywhere!
We work on the same campus but diff buildings, so we try to have lunch together.
Fi calls me at work almost everyday because he says, "I just want to hear your voice!" Honestly, I don't even know Fi's work number! But we text each other frequent throughout the day. It's weird when I don't hear from him all day, always think somethings wrong!
We text several times and maybe a call here and there...usually around 4, since that's when he leaves for work. I don't really see him on days he works til around 10, when he gets home from work. Mornings don't count, because even though he talks to me, he never remembers it 
never text... whats the point, i would write these long messages and he just texts back "k" or maybe use 2 entire characters with a "ok"... very frustrating for me
we phone at least once per day and if its a slow day it could be 2 or 3 times during the day - sometimes its just to say i love you and hang up
We have our routine down pack! We call each other usually around 10AM, def before lunch. Then again around 3PM to complain about how we wish it was 5 :) Unless something funny happened or if it has been an extra stressful day, we will talk more.
We both have desk jobs and usually talk on the phone once a day. ostly at the end of the day, he'll call to tell me he's leaving and ask if I want a ride if I took public transportation that day.
we text but he's not allowed to have his phone at work (pipe fitter) so if it's really important i put response required.. if not i don't and when he's at the club we text and talk.
eta: he owns a night club so he's there every day except sunday...
