Aw, those are cute! I understand Asian moms, so I feel for you.

It won’t look “tall” from where your guests are sitting. How many tiers of cake are you planning to have? Just ensure that you have a cake board/dowels to support the tall cake topper; it looks like heavy porcelain?

@asianbarbie:  It looks on the heavy side.  If the cake won’t support the weight you might try a place of honor next to it, on the guest book table, etc., that would be my only concern.

This is ours but we loved it and it sat nicely atop the cake.

@asianbarbie:  I’ll be honest, I don’t love that cake topper either. Something about it doesn’t feel very personal at all.  And if you don’t love it, I really don’t think you should use it.  Can you talk to your mom and ask her to return/exchange it for something you do love?

@asianbarbie:  You could always DIY one and just tell your mom you wanted something a little more personal.  I have to be honest, I’m not a big fan of the topper she got.

@asianbarbie:  Here ya go. The first is pro, the second isn’t a great pic but at least you can see the full effect. It is 8.75″ tall! We’re going to display it in a china cabinet/hutch.

@desiree.0615:  Thank you! It has a Shakepeare quote on it which is befitting as my husband and I are both actors. I’d been searching for months and was so happy to find this one on sale at a local party supply shop! 🙂
