I'm 5'8" and I just picked up my dress yesterday. I actually had it before but went down a whole size so I exchanged it. Well the new, smaller dress is of course shorter.  I had shoes that were advertised as 2"...they measure closer to 3" and that makes my dress too tall!! Ballet flats would be too short...HELP!!!  Where did you get your shoes? Oh and I can't spend a fortune because they won't return my shoes since they were ivory. UGH!

I'm 5'8" too and these are my faves (I'm just waiting for them to come out in a different color!)

I'm 5'10 and FI is 6' so I had to limit the height of my heels. I got mine at David's Bridal, they are a shorter heel. They have a few pairs with a lower heel on their website and most of them are dyable.

I'm going with some flat Loubs from Neimans. We're both 6'3", so yeah, I wanted to go flat. :p

I'm 5'7".  I always go to a shoe store to buy shoes.  I NEVER EVER order them online.  If I did, I'm sure I'd end up with a million pairs of shoes I could never wear.  Online descriptions are never accurate.

I ordered some from Zappos because you can search by heel height. One note is that they measure the heel height by the inside of the heel, not the outside, so a 2" heel is probably closer to 2.5" or 3".

You could also see if there's a shoe repair shop in your area and if so, see if the cobbler can put a shorter heel on.
