We are getting our e-pics taken in about a month, and I’m wondering how it’s going to work out with our height difference, as I am 5’2″ and he is 6’4″.
I’m sure they’ll be lovely, but wondering if any one has any examples of short bride/tall groom photos (even wedding photos)?
Or cute ones that may have even played up the height difference (I’m imagining a bent down kiss on the head or having fun standing on something next to him)?

I would love to see these too as the boy is 6’4″ and I stopped growing at 5’0″, haha!

I photographed a wedding 2 years ago with a 5’2″ girl & a 6’3″ guy. I’ll post them up when I can get to my external hard drive :).

Does Doxie have e-pics up? They have a one-foot height difference, I think!

We have a 1’1″ height difference. Our e photos are coming up soon, and there are plenty of cute things your photographer will help you do – laying down, sitting, him leaning over, you standing on tiptoe, etc.

I don’t have a lot of pics I can upload, but here is the link to our photographer’s slideshow. My groom is 6’3″ and I’m 5’2″ and we had a crazy tall wedding party too (no groomsmen under 6’1, and two super tall MOHs). You can see the height difference in most of the photos, but we didn’t really do anything to play up the difference, but maybe these pics will calm any worries about how it looks…

My FI cousin is getting married soon and they have a huge height difference.
I thought this one was cute.

Camrie, that is such a great picture. I totally want to do that. My fiance is 6″7 and I am 5″2 even. I know this would work for us. Thanks for posting

We have a 1’1″ high difference and I love how it looks when he is WAY taller then me! Nornally I wear 3-4″ heels when we are not home I wore flip flops out the other day and he looked at me and was like you are really short! I dont no how he hasnt noticed sooner we’ve only been living together 3.5 years!

My FH is 6’5″ and Im 5’4″ and I have to agree with mishelleez, I love the height discrepency in photos!
I was looking through my files to see if I had any examples and had to laugh because in every.damn.picture. (that I have)I am either wearing heels, or one of us is sitting while the other is standing.
One of the past Bees (name escapes me! fml!) did a court house wedding (with tea length dress; lots of brick work in the photos…anyone know who Im talking about?) and she was shorter than her husband.
There were LOTS of really cute pictures taken, one where she was standing on a fountain & leaning forward to give her husband a kiss etc.
I think there are a lot of great & fun options out there for photos.
Talk to your photog & bring up your height concerns and I bet they will have a whole slew of ideas!
that pic is just too darn sweet!

Ha ha, I’ll have to dig out old wedding photos of me and my husband. I’m 4’10” and he is 6′ tall. (We’ve been married almost 28yrs.) I have a photo of us “dancing-with him on his knees @camrie’s FI cousin! I’ll have to post some of our photos for you!! lol.
See above note. We got married on November 27, 1982!!! in Massachusetts. It’s a good date!!! 🙂

We only have a ten inch difference, but it’s definitely apparent in a few pics.
Notice that I’m on a higher step here and I still have to look up:
And this one’s pretty obvious too:
Here I am with the rest of his tall family. I took off my painful heels and put on my wedding Vans just before this picture. My husband is actually shorter than both his little brothers:

Haha, I LOVE this post! FH and I have a 15 inch difference. Just this morning, I was ready to leave for work with heels and he said, wow, you are a lot taller with heels!!! 🙂 I always thought that a really cute pic would be of me sitting on a wall or something and him standing up and doing a hug type pose (but looking into each other’s eyes) …. or walking, holding hands, with me standing on a sidewalk or low wall…
I’ve taken professional pictures at a different wedding with my ex bf and the photographer told him to spread his legs (like a jumping jack), facing me, so that he’d come down lower without having to squat or hunch and me facing him. Hope that makes sense. Of course, it was only a headshot type pic (full length would have looked silly) but it came out great!

I just realized I never posted those pics… & then I realized you said engagement photos. I have a few wedding pics but you could just wear normal clothes or a different dress 🙂
Him kissing you on the forehead:
You could stand on a fountain or small brick wall or a rock or something?
You could lay in a field of grass or flowers (or the beach)
He could sit on a park bench & you could sit on his lap, or next to him:
You could have your photog go on a bridge to get above the both of you
He could pick you up
Something fun like this:
Hope this helps 🙂
Other ideas (I can’t find my pics of these)
1. Stand back to back with his head slightly looking over his shoulder & down, with your head slightly looking up & at him.
2. He could pick you up, like a piggy back ride pose
