future_mrs_m:  I live in Tampa 🙂 if you want to go to the beach, nearby St. Pete and Clearwater have beautiful beaches. I prefer St. Pete. There are little beaches in Tampa but the water in the bay is kinda icky so it’s worth the drive to St. Pete for me! A really cool little district that I like to hang out in in Tampa is called “Soho”. There’s a lot of neat little restaurants/bars down there. If you like going to the movies, there’s a really nice theater “cinebistro”, where you are able to order from a full food and drink menu and they bring it to you at your seat. It’s a little pricey but we really enjoy it! There’s also a dinner cruise that we go on occasionally called the yacht starship. It takes you through the bay and you get to see pretty much of all downtown by water. And if you do go out to St. Pete at all, you could probably catch a Tampa Bay Rays game if you enjoy baseball because they play out in St. Pete 🙂 they have a big indoor stadium so you don’t get too hot while watching the game. That’s pretty much all I can think of off the top of my head but let me know if you have any more questions 🙂

future_mrs_m:  I looked for the Westin online and I saw 2 of them: one by the Courtney Campbell Causeway and one on Harbour Island. The one on Harbour Island would be very close to everything I’m telling you about, including the dinner cruise. If it’s by the Courtney Cambell, it’s on the other side of Tampa, but it still isn’t more than 30 mins or so away (if you aren’t traveling in traffic). The Courtney Campbell will take you to Clearwater so that would be a good option for you if you are over that way. I don’t know of any other boat tours, I’ve lived here my whole life so I havent done many touristy things lol I just like the dinner cruise for the water, food and drinks. I forgot to mention that I recommend “international plaza” for shopping; they have amazing stores and restaurants there! For nightlife I definitely recommend the SOHO/Hyde Park area I was telling you about before: some of my favorite places are MacDintons, the Kennedy, Cheap and Hyde Park Cafe.
