Looking for a good party band for my wedding - any suggestions? I would prefer a DJ as I am picky on how music sounds. Looking for a group that can play good Top 40 / Current Hits but then can also throw in some oldies for the parentals. Would prefer to find a band that has both male and female vocals.
Has anyone heard of the following groups: Clint Wiley Group or the Funk Monster Band?
Clint Wiley's band is absolutely amazing...and he DJ's as well. Hands down the band you want if you're looking for current top 40, both a male & female singer, and some DJ time.
How much does Clint usually run?? I emailed him but he wouldn't give me a price list over email and wanted me to call.. I'd rather just find out prices before calling (I don't like to do business over the phone before knowing what I'm getting into--I will feel bad if I have to tell him over the phone that he is too expensive!)
He is on the high end of band pricing for what I was looking for - but I am willing to spend as I want people to have fun! We have the full six piece band (both male & female vocals,) lighting and sound system for 4 hours. He will also provide DJ services while the band is on break and he will learn our first dance song since he doesn't already know it. Cost $4500 (high I know.) But he has been super professional and gets back in a timely manner and will walk the venue with us prior to the event so he is familiar with it.
Ohh Okay. Yeah, that's definitely far too much for me. All the other bands I am getting quotes from are from $800-$1200 which is much more in my range. Clint was great though when I emailed him, he did get right back to me. Although, he wanted me to call him for a quote instead of just emailing it to me (it's hard for me to do the phone at work, I much prefer email) so I just never called. Guess it would have been a waste of time anyway! Congrats though, I've only heard good things about him and I'm sure he's going to make your reception awesome!!!
Hey girls, I just wanted to let everyone know that we just booked our DJ and absolutely love and recommend him! We went to a wedding last spring and he was the DJ there, which was why we decided to book him. We heard a few glowing reviews about him and the other DJ in the company from a few married couples at the last wedding we were at. The DJs name is Grahm Clegg and the company he is with is More Than Music in Sarasota, which is run by JB Baxter (the other great DJ). I am paying $775 for 5 hours and an extra sound system (for the ceremony). I would highly recommend him and if you want to use him just let me know and I'll tell you my full name so you can use me as a recommendation, which will get you $50 off (thats what we got when we used our friend as a recommendation). Anyway, just thought I would share!!
