I am getting married in September and spend my summer working as an ocean lifeguard. Tan lines are TOTALLY unavoidable (I actually have permanent tan lines from years of work outdoors). I wear lots of sunscreen but inevitably will end up with some pretty wicked tan lines. I’m thinking a spray tan is the way to go but I’ve never had one. Are there different types? Are there some that are better than others? I’m definitely going to a professional but would love any suggestions you all have! Thanks!

I have had many…manyyy spray tans, and they are not all created equal. I have gone in the mystic tan booths, and its kind of hit or miss with them, so I wouldn’t suggest it for your wedding. I now go to a spa that a woman airbrushes me herself. It’s awesome, and it really looks real.
Be suppeerrrr careful if its raining, cover every part of your body with clothing. And do a trial run at a couple of places, because the formulas work differently on different skin.

i am worried about tan lines too.
i am a triathlete. i already have biking shorts tan lines which i am not so worried about since my dress will cover them.
my dress is strapless, so i don’t want a gradient of tan lines going up my arm depending what i am wearing from biking jerseys to tri tops to 1 piece bathsuits.
so far i’ve been pretty good with wearing 30 SPF and reapplying if i am out for more than 2 hours.
i asked my MUA what she recommended. she does spray tan, but she said she can always blend me with makeup in the neck and strap area if i don’t want a spray tan.
