I went to the pool once about a month or so before the wedding and got a little tan but that was it! I'm not a tanner and that was the least of my worries right before the wedding. I embraced my whiteness!
I went to the pool a few times before the wedding and wore a bandeau top (my boobies looked very sad too!) but I dont really tan since I have to wear sunscreen or I will burn really badly! I would say avoid it for at least a week so you dont get an unexpected sunburn! Or just wear a lot of sunscreen!!
I started wearing long sleeve shirts that I wore for kayaking so I wouldn't get burnt. Maybe I looked funny for a day, but I didn't want sunburnt wedding pictures.
I don't go to the beach to tan. I'm just a boater and am always there:)
@TheFutureMcBride that's an exellent idea. I should start wearing shirts out on the water more often anyway.
Thanks everyone!
I agree that wearing long sleeves is a good idea, and that staying out of the sun for a while before the wedding is the best plan. Sunburns can appear in unexpected spots if you give them a chance.

I live i Miami and I spend a lot of time on boats and the beach. I've been wearing a bandeau even though my boobies look sad in it to prevent tan lines. I tan pretty easily and always wear lots of SPF but sometimes after a few drinks you forget to reapply. Next thing you know you have spotty sunburn and peel a few days later. I'm starting to wonder if maybe a week or two before the wedding I should avoid the beach so I can avoid an unexpected sunburn.
How soon before the wedding did you tan?
