(Closed) tanning and your rings

I keep them on and haven’t noticed it harming my diamond or the white gold. My white gold has yellowed, but I think that’s just due to normal everyday wear.

Haha I just said “them” like I have more than one ring for some reason. I keep my *one* ring on since I’m not married yet. Lol it’s early…

Negative. First of all, nothing but mercury is going to hurt your diamond. but more so your gold. I doubt you work with lots of mercury =].

UVA/UVB is not going to harm your gold either. I used to take mine off b/c i didn’t want a big tan line and also the lotion i’d smear on had silicone in it and it’d get EVERYWHERE and was real slick.

Chemically, no it won’t hurt them.

If you wear any SOFT GEMSTONES (like amethyst, citrine, tanzanite, etc) you should take it off. Exposed sunlight can fade your stone.
