I am planning to give sunless tanning a try in order to eliminate a few strange looking tan lines, and was wondering if anyone could recommend a good tanning lotion for indoor tanning that doesn’t have a bronzer in it?

I would also love any advice on this. I’m super pale and have a slight tan lines, and would love something to even it up. Hopefully someone will post so advice.

I’m very pale, so I just use a gradual tanning lotion and I think the best is L’Oreal but the Jergens one isn’t bad either. I haven’t found a good full-on tanning lotion that doesn’t look orange on me…

Sunless tanning or indoor tanning? They’re not the same thing…I’m not sure if you’re asking for lotions that give you a fake tan or lotion for the tanning bed?

Victoria Secrest had one that works well. It is like any self tanner though, if you do not get it all the way rubbed in or leave it on you hands you will have nice big brown spots. As long as you rub it in well and then wash your hands you will be fine.

Though I am pale I use the one that is medium to dark and have had good results. The one that works best is…hold on I will get the bottle. Jergens natural GLOW express body moisturizer. “jumpstart natural-looking color in just 1 day” I got the medium to tan skin tones. just make sure you don’t put too much around your ankles!!!
the other one i use is jergens firming tanning lotion. i don’t know if it does anything though because i’ve been outside a lot this summer!

Clarins has a really good one that doesn’t turn you orange. You can get it at Macy’s. I’m ghostly pale and used to have to use tanner for dance competitions. I’ve tried the gamut and it’s the one that’s looked the most natural. Like any self tanner, put a thin layer of lotion on the rough spots (knees, ankles, etc) and wash your hand immediately after application.

@futuremrsjobe: Victoria Secrest, lol. I know it’s just a typo but it made me think of Ryan Seacrest.

For self-tanning, I’ve heard the best products are St. Tropez and Faux Tan.

I agree with cdncinnamongirl… St. Tropez is one of the best faux tan lotions. As for lotions in a tanning bed, I recommend Trinity3 by Designer Skin.

Neutrogena micromist airbrush sunless tanner. It comes in a can and goes on really smooth…. I’ve tried a lot of sunless tanners and this one is awesome! It comes in 3 shades: light, medium and dark. I use the dark and it looks good on my skin tone and leaves me with nice bronzed Glow! I get it at Walmart cause it’s usually 9.99 there. Walgreens has it too but it’s usually 12.99 there. I get usually 3-4 tans per can!

I’m confused. Do you mean tanning beds or sunless tanning lotion. I assume you mean tanninf bed. I used designer skin “Phoenician.” it goes on very smooth and helped keep the moisture and get an even tan. It doesn’t have an bronzers in it.

@cdncinnamongirl: The lotion or mousse?

I’ve used the St.Tropez spray tan and that was fantastic and I’ve heard really good things about the Clarins gel tan too
