Thanks, y'all! Both FI and I are sort of "foodies" (but man, I hate that term), so that was really important to us.
brie-stuffed strawberries with a balsamic reduction
mmmm, I can go for some of that. Your menu sounds tasty.
How was your experience? Did some dishes stand out over others? Or did you love everything?
Everything sounds amazing! Now I'm hungry...
The brie stuffed strawberries sound amazing especially with the balsamic. The entrees sound amazing too, both the rehearsal and the reception. Im hungry now!
Oooh, brie-stuffed strawberries and basil pesto...and while ham-wrapped asparagus may not SOUND good, I absolutely DEVOUR proscuitto-wrapped pickled asparagus. NOM NOM NOM!
The wild mushrooms sound good, as does the chicken. And the cheesecake. YUM!
Also, CHOCOLATE! POUNCE!
I'm on the brie stuffed strawberries bandwagon *drool* Your menu sounds delicious... as a "foodie" myself I'd love to be a guest at your wedding :)

Sorry, there are no users yet.
I ate so much food at the tastings this Saturday (for both the reception and the rehearsal dinner) that I didn't eat dinner at all that night! Ooof. Let me know if anything stands out as odd or if it all sounds good.
For the reception:
Passed Hors d'oeuvres:
Basil pesto on a crostini, Virginia ham wrapped asparagus, vegetable spring rolls with ginger dipping sauce, and brie-stuffed strawberries with a balsamic reduction.
Entrees:
Chicken parmesean or beef filet with carmelized onions and a mushroom red wine sauce (both served with mashed potatoes and sauteed veggies, plus we'll have a vegetarian entree available).
For the rehearsal dinner (in a small French restaurant):
First course: choice of romaine salad, soup du jour, mussels provencal, or sauteed wild mushrooms
Main course: Beef Bourguignon, Chicken Basquaise (a slow-cooked chicken with garlic, peppers, onions and paprika) or Salmon a la Richard (with a spinach cream sauce)
Desserts: Raspberry Cheesecake, Creme Caramel, or Chocolate Mousse
