@serenitymd: Yes ask them to make the items that you guys want to add. I was wondering the same thing a week ago about the caterer I choose. I went to a bridal show this past Sunday and they had some of the items I wanted to serve at my wedding and I did'nt like the at ALL!!! So do taste testing on everything even if its not on the menu, well make sure they will fix it for you guys. I'm not sure if they rushed the food that day or what, but I'm changing up somethings now thanks to that aweful taste at the bridal show.

Hey Bees,
So, what's the protocol when it comes to tastings? We found a caterer we liked and did a tasting with them before we booked. We liked most of the food... but now that we've booked with them, we've decided on items that weren't apart of the tasting menu.
Do we do another tasting to sample what we're actually going to have or do we just assume the food will be good because most of the foods we sampled before were good?
Seems like a lot to ask them to make each of the dishes we're choosing? What's typical?
Thanks!
