My FI (we've got the date set, just no ring!) bought the ring today and told me! Ugh, I'm not getting it until the "right moment." Boys are so mean! I know he's enjoying it tho, it's his shining moment, as far as he says, the wedding is more a me and us thing, the official proposal his all his and he's savoring it. (Has to do it sometime before April of next year tho, venues are all booked! Haha, I win!)

I'm sooo glad I did not know my fiance had my ring for almost two weeks. I would have gone nuts! I feel for you guys. Hang in there!
Omg!! I was in the same boat. We talk about this conversation we had at a restaurant a few weeks before we got engaged where I was BEGGING him.... just tell me you're not going to ask, I know you're not going to; I think I even said - put me out of my misery.
All along he had the ring and was waiting for the right time. I PROMISE the surprise is worth it... but I know EXACTLY how frustrating it can be playing the waiting game! I agree with tessabella, hang in there!!
haha same boat. the boy tells me that i will NEVER know when the proposal is coming, but as each day passes, and i get little CLUES about whats going on in his head (ring search history by him on my computer, him sending me pictures of different rings, him knowing randomly when we stopped by another jeweler this weekend that a diamond show is coming up sometime in june...he knew the EXACT date...my mouth hit the floor lol) , I can tell that its imminent and fastly approaching!!! I try not to think about it too much, but its classic looking at his face when yet another person asks, so?? wedding bells anytime soon? before we both used to smile and say yes eventually! now its just funny watching him trying to control his emotions because he OBVIOUSLY knows when he is planning on proposing and I am a little more than absolutely cluesless as to when thats gonna happen. but i kind of like it this way! i dont want to know when he gets or if he already has the ring, and i (for the most part) am okay with it! But yea, i think he is totally enjoying having absolute control over this!
Wow! That would have driven me NUTS! FI bought the ring and had it for MONTHS without me knowing! I would have gone insane if I knew he had it and was waiting to propose! LOL
Haha, yes. He likes to talk about it as much as me. Just this morning he asked me, "when are we going to get married and start our lives together?" Um...I responded with "you're the one with the answer to that, buddy." To which he laughed. Hope he's enjoying the jokes while he can!
Yep, my sweetie does that. Except he's even more cruel and will say stuff like "Wait til you see the ring! You're gonna say my man loves me!" (I'd love him with a bubble gum machine ring.lol)

Update: So hey, we narrowed down his diamond search... we're getting closer! :)

Lol... I really didn't want to get engaged when everyone else did, but now he has the money so I will take what I can get!
@mandalee: lol!! i think it'd be so cool, but this is my favorite time of the year so i suppose that's why i'd love it during this time of the year.
i can only hope for an engagement in the next 5 months! i don't care if he proposes on the same day as 100 other people - as long as he does it soon!

I tried desperately to participate in the Christmas Challenge, but he kept bringing wedding stuff up! and finally he was all pouty and like, "why don't we talk about this anymore?" and I told him about the challenge, to which he responded that he didn't think it was a good idea. :)
I think that a lot of guys do know it's going on, and it is fun for them. I mean, how hard must it be to keep such a big, exciting secret from the one they love and share EVERYTHING with?! I can barely keep a lid on what I'm considering buying J for Christmas - I've already wasted like 3 great gift ideas by telling him what they are. d'oh!
@dd: lol!!! and yeah i now think that he enjoys taunting me and teasing.. he gets this strange smirk and then when i ask him about it he clams up... i know he has something up his sleeves or else i'm just crazy lol...

So I get on my lap top after HE used it... only to find Tacori and diamond research... he has two computers of his own... oh why must he taunt me so? I complained and his responce is... "whoops"... Anyone else feel HE is enjoying the waiting game?
