I am getting married July 27th, 2012 and I ordered my dress from TBdress. I had came across the website after doing a google search for reasonable wedding dresses. It was there that I found the perfect dress, you know, the moment you no longer have to look any more because you found the dress that you had been picturing in your mind. Well, this was the dress. I had found it and it was a reasonable price, since my fiancee and I are on an extremely limited budget. The dress(Amazing Empire Sweetheart Floor-length Court Lace Trimmed Wedding Dress) was perfect. It was everything that I wanted. As far as what the picture showed.
It was suppose to take only 2 to 3 weeks. Fast forward to nearly a month, and still no dress. I then recieved a phone call from my finacee saying if I had read any reviews about the site where I ordered my dress. I said no. He then responded with it is all bad. Not one good review, and I think we should contact them. After sending a few emails to them we finally recieved one back saying for us to be patient.
I have been patient. We had ordered my dress in early April and it was now mid May, how more patient can I be. Fast forward more time and we are now in June and still no dress. I am beyond worried. I get married in a month and I am hoping that it does come in, but in the same token I am worried about the shape it will be in and whether or not it will arrive in time.
It is so unfair that a company like this can pray upon women like myself, who are on a very limited budget and see a company like this and get so happy to find the dress of their dreams, only to have their spirits smashed. I am truly devestated right now that there is a chance my dress won’t come, come late, or have numerous problems with it.
I am a college student, I can’t afford to buy another dress. So, now I am in limbo. And with very limited options will have to resort to finding a wedding dress through a thrift store that I can attempt to fix up.
TBdress is not a company that you should work with. That is just my 2 cents.

@graceness: That sucks! I really hope you find something awesome. If you were located near me I would lend you my dress or help you look!
Have you tried Light In The Box? From what I understand, they are more reliable.
Visalia is in California, right? Are you anywhere near Anaheim, or Reno, NV? Brides Against Breast Cancer is holding gown sales in those cities this weekend (Anaheim) and next weekend (Reno). That’s where I got my gown, and they have a lot of good options at very reasonable price points. Plus, you can try them on, know exactly what you’re getting, and walk out of there the same day with a gown. If it works for you to travel to either of these cities, I would definitely check them out.

I don’t know how long it would take for it to get to you but try church street bridal. Their dresses are all designer samples that they sell at a heavy discount. For example a $3,000 will only be $300 there. Look on their website/blog and their Facebook page. If you see one you like and are not sure if the size will fit you or how it will look go to a bridal saloN that sells that designer and see how that designer fits on your body type.
I have nothing but good things to say about them. I didn’t buy my dress from there but I did buy my sash from them for only $30 shipping included. A sash like that anywhere else would have been $200. Also all proceeds go to a battered women’s shelter.
Here is the sash I bought from thEm.

I’ve heard that Light in the Box has quick turnaround, you might try ordering from there. Honestly, I ordered a dress from china (goodgoodschina) and they were very upfront wih theprocessing and shipping time. I ordered in February and got the dress in may, which is reasonable for something being manufactured in china and shipped overseas.
I like PP suggestion of finding local alternatives – even try Craigslist! I do searches on CL for wedding stuff all the time and there are lots of dresses that pop up. I don’t think that the company you bought the dress from is preying on anyone and your Fiance is right, you really should have done some research before giving anyone your money. I’m sure you can find something awesome to wear for your wedding in June, though – good luck!

@Ellegee: Yeah, good suggestion – you’d be amazed at what you’ll find on Craigslist.
Look on the WeddingBee classifieds, too, and you can also try sites like RecycledBride, PreOwnedWeddingDresses. Best-case scenario, you might even find someone in your area who has a dress you could try on, buy outright and not have to pay shipping, etc. Craigslist in particular would be a good place to look for something like that.

I was concerened after placing my order and seeing some of the reviews about TBDress. That being said, I also know alot of people dont take time to tell you what’s great, only what’s not.
I will tell you that every part of my experience with this site has been GREAT! Whether I emailed a question or if someone in the TBDress customer service called me, they were efficient and pleasant. Now on to the dress…
My dress is BEAUTIFUL!!! There is even more detail that the photo and it fits perfectly. I ordered a different color sash, in dark royal blue but what came was blue. None the less, what came was even better! I also cant find this dress anywhere else and it truly is THE dress.
Since I ordered it so early and its hard to pick colors from images on the website I waited until it came to pick other blue accesories. It also arrived in 3 weeks from the time of order.
Although I had a good experience, Im 50/50 on whether to try this site again but, if you have time to wait if you have to get a back up and $200 bucks or less is worth saving $2,ooo if it works out, this site is great.
