Dear Chinese Bees,
I’ve never heard of serving tea to a younger sibling and their fiancee at a tea ceremony. I’m being told by my FIML we’re including my fiance younger sister and her fiance to tea ceremony list. My FIML really adamant about putting her on the list because young sister purchased a gold gift to us. So that is main reason she being added to tea ceremony.
My family is totally weird out by the idea but going along with it. I’m going along with it cause it’s what his mother want. It doesn’t hurt anyone except maybe face.
My question is will it offend the elders (groom side) if we serve tea to a younger sibling? Will his parents loose face in public by doing that? The tea ceremony will be held at the resturant. As far as I know, we will not be kneeling. Both couples will be standing.
