winterwoodlandbride15: Another way to lengthen the dress i to have a tulle crinoline peek ot from underneath to look like it was intentional. This example is a tea length dress(just to show what I’m talking about) but it can also be done on a floor length dress.

Do you have a pic of your Mom’s dress?

I think it would look less weird to have you in a different length than to have a added piece.

See how the bottom of this dress has lace and then it slowly spreads out so their in none above her knee. Perhaps this is what she meant by covering it with lace? Rather than a straight border so to speak. If so I think that would look lovely as long as she adds a small amount to the top to counter balance it.

I think the tea length could still work with floor length bridesmaids so long as it matches the theme of your wedding. If it’s a more formal do it might look a bit odd.

I think tea length can work with floor length. Sorry, not the best but was trying to mess with photos on paint.

I think Tea Lenght would be fine with long bridesmaid dresses! Infact many brides do short dresses with their long. lol.

You will stand out in your unique and beautiful dress! I love the idea !

winterwoodlandbride15: in that case I think the tea length would definitely work!

I think if the lace is similar to the ruffle that is there in that it has a distinct straight line it would look sort of odd.

I completely understand and I hope other bees have better images to show.
