    Thanks!

I definitely am doing a tea length dress for my beach wedding in July. Still deciding on which one but I can't picture myself in a long traditional wedding dress in the hot Florida summer trying to party on the beach all day long..

I would love to do a tea length dress but I haven't gone dress shopping yet!  Did you have a specific one in mind, miss sparklespaniel?  I'd love to see what dress you picked or what you're thinking about getting!

I am, I'm about to place my order too. I'm going with a Dolly Couture gown, the Milan. We're going to Vegas, so I thought I could get away with short and poofy. :)

@Natakie16:  I love it!!  What kind of veil are you wearing?  This one bridal salon I went to had a little short two-layered veil they called the "Vegas veil."

I just ordered my tea length dress from Fancy. It's the Madeline 03 (number 11)

Busybecks, love your dress, the top is so pretty. I was considering just having something long altered to tea length since they are pretty hard to find, but finally found mine!

    Yay for tea length!!

@mouse- cool, I'll have to see if I can find one online to see! I don't know. I wanted to do a birdcage veil, but now that I found that dress, I think it may be too "harsh" for it. So, I may do a short, gathered veil like Mrs. Star. It would help if I knew the name of that style :)

We'll see, it's almost time to go searching on Etsy for it!

Thanks BusyBecks, I love your dress too!!! Gorgeous!

@busybecks - I LOVE your dress! Do you mind telling us who the designer is?

I was a tea-length bride, and I was so happy with my decision. Even three months after our wedding, I sometimes wonder if I should have gone with the elaborate gown because it's pretty much my only chance to wear one, but in the end, I know I made the right decision for me. I got this BM dress my Priscilla of Boston in white. I loved it.

We're getting married by a JOP on the beach in May and I'm wearing the Mon Cheri Rhiannon but we're also having the marriage blessed a few months later at our chruch so I dreamed of a tea length swing dress but they're out of my price range.  My mother had bought me an a-line satin dress years ago for another engagement that ended so I decided to take that dress and have it shortened to tea length, something like this:

Thanks ladies! Y'all are too sweet.

Miss Chapstick, I got my dress at David's Bridal. It's by Oleg Cassini and was a "test dress" that they just had in a few stores. I lucked out for sure!  That PofB dress is so pretty! I love the idea of wearing a bridesmaid dress as a bride...especially those PofB dresses, since the styles are so great!

Shaema, that is such a great idea and it's great that you can use what you already have!

All of your dresses are so gorgeous! I'm so happy there are other girls out there whose heart skips a beat when met with lovely tea length dresses just like mine does! I'm so excited to be wearing a sweet little tea length number and after my bf's wedding and watching her struggle to get around in a full length dress with a hoop under it I'm SOOOO looking forward to not having to worry about any of that!

I'm thinking about the same dress as Miss Chapstick or possibly another... both are tea length! I have a full length ballgown now, which was for the first wedding we planned before postponing, and it doesn't go with the new theme we're thinking of at all.

Oooh and MandyW I haven't been able to find a pic that fully encapsulates what I want for my dress but this was the first picture that I saw that made me want a vintage inspired tea length (plus, I'm TOTALLY wearing cute wrist length gloves too cos of this pic!). I know I want a sweetheart neckline with a netting overlay (kinda like the dress Julia Robers wore in Runaway Bride and I'm still trying to decide if I want a puffy tulle type skirt or something sleeker.... decisions, decisions! Ooh and I want a big sash around the waist with a BIG bow at the back - SUPER girly!

Also, Dolly Couture, Stephanie James and Candy Anthony are all FANTASTIC for cute tea length ideas (I'd love to order the Milan too Natakie but I'm too chicken to order it and have it shipped to Australia in case it doesn't fit or isn't right for some reason!) Swoon!

I'm thinking of doing tea length.  But it depends on venue and date. If we go for NYE, I'll stick with a floor length.  If we go with the SF City Hall Venue... tea length.  Joining the WB has changed my vision on the wedding.  The bees have soooo many fabulous ideas that I'd like to incorporate into my wedding.

All of these dresses are so fab, ladies!

@Natakie16: Wish I knew what to call it, I never figured it out! I always just called it my shoulder-length veil :) I loved it, though!

I am totally considering a tea length dress.  The elaborate look is not really my style, although I have seen some beautiful choices on this site.  Also, we are going to Veges and I wanted something fun and flirty.  The only problem I am having is the dress that I absolutely love, I can only find it online.  I am still looking and hoping to find something else that I like.

Love these dresses!  I had my heart set on a tea-length and ended up absolutely falling in love with my dress (which is lace and tulle and gorgeousness).  Good luck ladies, I'm sure you'll all be beautiful!
