Look into dolly couture! All of their dresses are custom made and really reasonably priced! I went to their NYC showroom and there are so many designs to choose from. However you can also order online and everything is around 500 or so.

Oohhhhh try LouLouBridal.com!! I don’t know if you like the 1950’s style but their dresses are so pretty! The only downside is that they are a UK designer and don’t have anywhere to try them on in the US and you have to order them. They do customer measurements though.

I ordered my dress (mermaid) from Lightinthebox.com. They have several tea-length dresses. I had a good experience with them but I’ve also seen bad reviews from others. For the very cheap prices there – it isn’t going to be the same as going to a  bridal store. Depends on your standards…but take a look if you don’t mind a made-in-China dress for a few hundred dollars (many are $100-300).

Pasithea:  This site has AWESOME tea length gowns:http://www.cuttingedgebrides.com

I really want a tea length gown for my vow renewal. Have you checked out Etsy? They have so many! Be prepared to put aside a couple hours. Also, have you considered getting a vinatge gown from the 50’s? Most of them are gorgeous. It isn’t an option for me though because I am disproportionate.

Some Etsy originals I love!

Some vinatge 50’s gowns(they are really fun if you want to rock a colored dress):

I would also recommend Etsy! I’m also a plus size lady and I’m wearing a knee length dress. There are so many wonderful folks on Etsy who are willing to make exactly what you want! And it’s way cheaper…mine was $109 + $25plus size fee + shipping

Glasgowbound:  I love that justin Alexander and really thought it would be mine! I couldn’t afford it new and could never find anywhere to try it own to size it for buying preowned. So beautiful!

Pasithea:  If you look into Dolly Couture, I beg of you to go and try one on in store. I ordered a Dolly Couture dress one over the net and it didn’t suit me one bit in real life. I then couldn’t return it because of custom measurements. Whatever you do, just try it on!!!!! I wanted tea-length too – they’re gorgeous huh? Good luck!!! 🙂

Pasithea:  There are TONS of them. But I got married in the Oleg Cassini tea length dress from David’s after swearing I’d never wear a DB dress because they all looked so cheap and cookie cutter. That Oleg Cassini one doesn’t look cheap at all! Plus it goes up to a size 26.
