- Wedding: September 2013
I am getting married in September and have decided upon a tea length dress since we are having a brunch wedding. I do not like strapless dresses on me and therefore want a dress with sleeves, cap is my preferred length.
I have called every bridal boutique in the beltway, and some further out in VA and MD. Only one has boutique has tea length dresses, which will arrive next month (1 strapless and one halter off the shoulder). I have even researched places in NYC.
This is harder then it should it be since I know they exist and have found 4 that I like online. However, I am on a budget and want to keep it around $500 or less.
My personal favorite is Joy by Matthew Christopher, I have emailed the website asking for stores that sell this dress in the area, but have had no response. My other favorites are Marilyn by Charlotte Balbier (only sold in the UK, they got back quickly) and the Beverlywood by Dolly Couture’s Black Label. (Dolly Couture does have a show room in NYC.)
So I am asking for advice on a few things:
1) Has anyone in the DC area found or seen a dress along these styles?
2) Had a dress made by LeMandy on Etsy?
3) Had a dress made by Whirling Turban?
4) Had a good exprience with an online wedding dress company?
I am willing to travel to NYC, Baltimore, Southern VA and places in between.
Thank you for assistance and input.
