Cute!
How about buying some loose tea (like oolong, green, pekoe, whatever her fave is) wrapped in little cheese cloths. With a couple sugar cubes in a cute jar of sorts? Like a tiny mason jar?
Or biscuits since tea & biscuits go together! :)
What about a make your own tea set? Like a cup and saucer set with a selection of nice tea bags, and a side of cookies (we call them biscuits here)
That way your girls could recreate your tea party at home.
My maid of honor threw a tea party shower for me. She gave out antique teacups and saucers for favors. She also included teaspoons that she had dipped in chocolate. They were really cute, I wish I had a picture of the presentation.
Thanks for the ideas everyone!
@Gerbera- I especially love the mason jar idea! The bride's sister is her MOH, so I sent the idea along to her.
Any cute centerpiece ideas?!
I was MOH for my friend last year and threw her a surprise Mad Men themed Bridal tea party shower. I picked up a bunch of vintage red glass tea cups from flea markets all the same red glass but different shapes and had a custom tea bag (in her wedding colors) made placed into the teacup, and little tags I tied to each cup so this was everyone's favor as well as a cup for all the gals to drink out of. She and all the guests loved it and it was very budget friendly yet elegant. I used this company: http://www.favorstoday.com/bridal-shower/tea-bag-favors/
Also this site for inspiration: http://www.beau-coup.com/tea-party-favors.htm
Sorry last post, we also had tea sandwiches and mini cupakes that I made little flags for as seen here. I used the same little theme for all the tags, menus and invitations for the entire shower.
My shower was a tea party theme. The centerpieces were teapots used as vases filled with flowers and the favors were little kitchen timers shaped like teapots too.
I love the tea tin idea! I had that idea bookmarked when I thought my MOH might be doing a big wedding.
If you think she might like the tea & sugar cube in mason jar ideas. How about just putting sugar cubes (perhaps in her wedding color) in bigger mason jars or crystal bowls as centerpieces. Alternating with potpourri or loose tea (buy cheapie bulk)?
The sugar cube CP can be double duty for sugar for the tea at the party!
You guys are great- thanks so much for all of the ideas!! I'll be sure to post some pictures after the shower in March

Hi bees!
A girlfriend of mine is getting married in a castle (a reception site that they have near where she grew up), so we thought that it would be a cute idea to have a tea party as her bridal shower. I wanted to know if anyone had any cute favor ideas (not too expensive) or any other tea party themed ideas. Let me know!
