Does anyone know of a good location to host a tea party themed shower in the Boston area?

You could actually go for tea for your shower, if that's an option.  Some of the hotels in downtown Boston (the Taj, the Langham, etc.) serve tea every day.  Reservations are recommended, and it could be fun to do on a Thursday or Friday afternoon.

If you're talking about the kind of tea party with people showing and tossing crates into the harbor, you might be able to get away with something like that from the Long Wharf hotel... Wink

You could also check out the Boston Park Plaza, they do afternoon tea there every day.

Upstairs on the Square in Harvard Sq also does Tea Parties on Saturdays! The decor there ranges from crazy pink and and purple, to classic black and white, and there's outdoor seating too. There are many rooms that you could reserve to have your tea!

I just had a tea party themed party last saturday at home. There are many things you can do just in your own living room to make it a tea party theme. Let me know if you would like more details. :) I haven't uploaded pics, but can do so soon to share if you'd like :)

You could try Dorset Cafe in Wellesly http://www.dorsetcafe.com/ or the Colonial Inn in Concord, MA.

I second Upstairs on the Square. If you haven't been, you should definitely check it out. The ambiance is lively and fun and the food is always yummy.

I forgot to mention it's for a garden tea party, which completely changes venue recommendations!

@ Catalitical I've been to the Langham for the chocolate bar and my sister's shower, it's so pretty!

We also did Upstairs on the Square for a Mother's day tea and it is so fun I think it would be perfect for an Alice in Wonderland tea theme!

So far the only place I can think of is the MA horticultural society for a garden tea. Anyone know anywhere else?

Thanks for the rec's so far, I should have been mroe specific!
