I have searched far and wide for wedding shoes to match my bridesmaids’ dresses with no luck…I need to find them for my June 16th wedding so that I can get the hem put in my dress…any ideas of where to check would be GREATLY appreciated!!! Thanks!!
P.S. Flats or anything under a 3″ heel is best.

@slonelm: Do you have a picture of the Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses? And how formal is your wedding? Are flat sandals/thong types out of the question?

@slonelm: Can you post a pic of the color of the bridesmaids’ dresses? If you’re unable to find anything that matches, would you consider having your shoes be another wedding color to contrast, or perhaps even have your shoes dyed to match their gowns?

I wanted teal to match the piping in my wedding dress, and I ended up having to get dyeables. I just couldn’t find the color I was looking for in anything other than extremely casual shoes.

There are about a million shades of teal (trust me, I used a shade in my wedding and it was brutal). I wouldn’t try to match. Honestly the matching shoes is very old fashioned looking anyway. I’d get either a neutral or a contrasting color.

@kala_way: I don’t think she wants the bridesmaids’ shoes to match their dresses. I think she wants HER bridal shoes to match their dresses.

@love108: Sorry, I am new at posting to here and didn’t know that I had a reply.
No, flats would actually be ideal! And we have a break between the ceremony and the reception, so I would love to find some flip flops to wear too.
The Bridesmaids each chose their own dresses, but this is one of them. My dress is to the floor, so the shoes won’t be seen except for in pictures and when the dress is bustled.
Thank you SO much!

@Brielle: Here is the color of the bridesmaids’ dresses. I would not be opposed to dying to match, but I am having a hard time finding somewhere to have that done.

This might be too bright for what you’re looking for but I loved them, so thought I’d share (you have to click on the blue color… I think the pink is the default color): http://www.dsw.com/shoe/caparros+wed+flat?prodId=246629&productRef=SEARCH
cute sandal: http://www.dsw.com/shoe/fergalicious+sparklette+sandal?prodId=241075&productRef=SEARCH
another pretty sandal (click on the teal color): http://www.dsw.com/shoe/nine+west+risingstar+sandal?prodId=233927&productRef=SEARCH
you could buy a clip-on embelishment from etsy to dress this up: http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/lanvin-classic-ballerina-flat/3240852?origin=category&fashionColor=&resultback=2199
Those are some suggestions (without knowing what your dress looks like, wedding style, etc). Also keep in mind, even if your shoes are slightly off from your bridesmaids dresses, it won’t be overly noticeable (even in pictures) as their dresses will never be right next to your shoes. So if you get a shoe that’s close or in the same color family, it will still look great 🙂
