Love Mighty Saphhire's idea :)  And as someone who realized when she found out she was having a boy that she knew NOTHING about little boys, I realized a Team Blue thread would be great!

So, I'll start it with a question: What type of decor are you going for? My husband is all for cars and planes while I want cute little animals and stars and moons.....

I'm here! I too know nothing about little boys, but I'll find out soon enough... only five more weeks until our EDD, but I think he's going to come a little early. A friend of mine gave me a huge box of clothes the other day and a lot of it was sports oriented and I really didn't like many them, I'm definitely more of an animal/star/moon type of gal. He's bunking with us for awhile so we don't have a nursery to worry about decorating, well atleast not for the moment. I'm really excited. I was absolutely terrified about having a girl, really only because my mom and I have a very, very difficult relationship (I'm her only child) ... but now that I know I'll have my boy and our family dynamics will be different, I feel much more comfortable about the idea of a daughter.

Northern, that is soon!!  I agree on all the sports oriented stuff - same way if I had a girl I wouldnt dress her like a princess - let the kid make their own identity, you know?  I always wanted a boy and then a girl so I am good on 50% of that so far :)

Other little baby boys to be out there?

(feeling the love)  yep, we found out we are having a boy (due 8/30)

we wanted a turtle themed room, but ended up doing oceany (with sea turtles)  I'll have to post a nursery pick, soon  We did green paint (Natura - Sweet Daphne) on top w/ white wainscoting.  Our nursery isn't really a bedroom; we converted it from an outdoor room that connects to the master and the dining!  So, we only have 8x10 to work with, but I think it will work out just fine

luckily my best friend gave me ridiculous amnts of boy clothes...her boys were born in different seasons, but it is pretty much always warm in Austin, so I think 90% of the clothes can still be used by us.  Some are sporty, but I don't mind *toooo* much.  I was a jock, but I do hate how there is almost ZERO girl sporty stuff and almost half the boy stuff is...gag.  I tend to like things that are clever (pacifist w/ pacifier) or animals...no actual characters and not a lot of sayings like "daddy's boy"  "future quarterback"

I did just boy colors and random shapes, but then quickly switched to a jungle theme.

We are on the boys team too!

We had our bedding made and just did a navy and white print with green trim. So our colors are dark blues with all shades of green.

I do think it is much harder to find boy stuff than girl stuff. You can even see in all the stores how much larger the girls clothing sections are.

Try doing a non-girlie girl room.  It's completely impossible.  We're doing a pond theme complete with fishes (like trout and stuff), bugs all in blues and greens.  (When we eventually find a place to live!)

    I feel the pain!

We don't know what we're having yet - but our room is already blue and I'm planning to put to good use all those beanie babies I bought years ago.  The theme will be 'animals' :)  The cheap/recyclable nursery theme!

Plus this is the most adorable alphabet print ever - and it's by a bee!  I forget her bee name :)  http://shop.stinkerpants.com/product/alphabet-poster
