I have been loyally reading this blog for the last 9 months while I planned my wedding, and Saturday was the big day! Our photographer posted 8 of the more "artsy" photos that we took, and I would like to share them with you! They are so cool... If you are in the Chicagoland area and like what you see, I would definitely recommend our photographer.
What an amazing photographer! I wish i was in chicago area -- that is exactly teh style i am looking for. They are so professional and all look like they could be a wedding advertisement or magazine. You look gorgeous too BTW!
one question... how did you gather up the courage to stick with short hair? I love having a bob but have been growing out my hair for my december wedding and hating every minute. Also what is the hair accessory that you are wearing, it lovely?
Courage to keep my hair short? I don't believe in growing your hair out for your wedding! You should look how you normally look! I personally think it's silly to grow your hair for your wedding and then cut it off the next day... Your memories are immediately dated and you're buying into a wedding culture maintained only by advertisements. I wanted to look like myself only fancier...
I wanted the traditional look without losing my identity... So I went with a big white dress, but from a consignment store, cut off the train, and refused to wear a veil. I think I accomplished the bridal look with my own style and personality reflected.
My hairpiece is from etsy.com. The seller is Mikiye, and she's highly recommended. I sent her a photo of my bouquet, dress, and necklace, and she came up with something perfect. Here's a picture:
