Thanks, guys! (excuse this PIC HEAVY POST…)
I still don’t have all the pics from the phorographers, but I’ll do a recap and put some stuff on here…
So being in NY it was a bit cold but I decided to do an outdoor ceremony anyway since it was in the 50’s and sunny, and my bridesmaids and I all had wraps and cloaks. Everyone commented on how beautiful the ceremony was…
The food was delicious! We had buffet style. Unfortunately I filled up on appetizers and could barely eat my actual meal, but I tried it all and it was very good! We got a lot of compliments on the food as well. Seriously, though, I was so stuffed I could barely eat the cake…which I basically slapped Danny with and it got all up in his sideburns. I walked away unscathed…
Our first dance was ridiculous. Unfortunately I don’t have pics of it yet, but we danced to “Red Sweater” by the Aquabats which is a fast paced ska song. Danny ended up falling with me on top of him. We played it off well and everyone cheered. My friend Christina was not disappointed, saying “I was thinking ‘if they play some romantic slow song I’m going to be so pissed (it’s just not “US”) but you didn’t, and your dance was amazingly YOU GUYS.”
Then my family/friends also surprised me with a Gangnam style flash mob dance! It was basically the best thing ever.
The dance floor was NEVER empty. Especially when I had the DJ play NSYNC and Spice Girls. But the highlight of the night was DEFINITELY the photo booth! Everyone LOVED it! For those not yet married I highly recommend getting on for your wedding! We loved looking at the scrap book with all of the photo strips and people’s messages to us.
Another thing people loved was the garter removal. We really hammed it up.
The highlight of MY night is that I got to dance with my daddy. We danced to “My Girl”. Cheesy and overdone, maybe, but he was happy with it and so was I.
It seemed like the day went by SO fast! Most people actually stayed until the reception was completely over, and best of all, there were NO fights and although I was a little achey by the end of the night my body never REALLY gave out on me! (anyone who has followed my posts knows that I suffer from a chronic illness.) I was able to dance, drink, be silly, and have fun! It was amazing!
