She is nuts. I figured she was on drugs or rather, abusing the ones she's already on. I still think she's doing meth.
She does always seem drowsy or hostile. I have never seen her playing with her daughter. I'm sure she is depressed too. It's sad.
I figured it was the klonopin that was causing her weight loss. I went on it for a couple of weeks when I was waiting for bar results and had SUPER high anxiety. You don't eat. It just totally takes away your appetite. I could easily consume no more than 500 calories throughout the whole day and be totally fine. It's also highly addictive (which is why most doctors will only let you go on it for very short periods of time). It doesn't make you all nutty and high strung though (in fact, it has the complete opposite affect), which is what leads me to believe there's more going on than just the medication.
Oh, and I love how the police department is still "investigating" the assault that was caught on camera and aired on national television. Where I live, police arrest people for crimes based on a whole hell of a lot less evidence than that with practically no investigation every damn day.
Disturbing.
@lezlers: You know if it had been Gary caught punching Amber in the face, on camera, then kicking her in the back while she walked down a flight of stairs, they wouldn't still be "investigating", he would be in jail!
I hope she gets arrested - she's got no self control.

"Still investigating" in this case is code for "police aint gonna do shit." Plus, you only have a year to file charges for a misdemeanor. Not sure when the assault actually happened, but they've got to be close to a year by now.
Not to defend Amber's antics which are obvs effed-up, but Gary is no angel himself. I can't STAND watching the two of them on t.v. not because Amber is throwing punches but because Gary (a) is so immature it's like seeing a five year old in a big dudes body and (b) he waives his male priviledge allllll over the place, and especially in front of Amber's face. All moms have their issues including Amber, and Gary extorts that like none other. His constant threats to call child protective services, regularly criticizing the most ridonk things (like sleeping in? what?) as why she is the worlds worst mother, guilting her for not being perfect, and threatening to run off with the baby himself when all else fails? That BS would make me flip out as well, all other bad-Amber-habits aside.
Both of them need serious help.
@Stumptown Lady: I agree, they are BOTH messed up. Also, if this "friend' of Gary's who gave the interview is the one they show on teen mom.. he's an idiot and purposely had gary stirring the pot on several occasions. So who knows if any of that is true. In either case, poor Leah.
@Stumptown Lady: Hahaha, I was gonna say something similar. I'm pretty sure if Gary was the father of my child, I'd want to hit him too sometimes! He's so passive aggressive like 99% of the time. Mind you, I don't like Amber either and I think Leah should have been taken away a LONG time ago, but I still can't completely blame her for hitting him, lol.
