@RubyStar:  I can’t believe MTV shows that trash.  It’s lowest of the low – even for MTV.

It’s not about the struggles of being a young parent – it just glorifies the drama.  I think it’s sick.

@RubyStar:  I just can’t believe (specifically on Teen Mom 2) that all of the girls have either gotten pregnant again (in some cases multiple times) or the dads have gotten another girl pregnant. Seriously?! None of these teen parents have learned anything.

I think that alot of this has  to do with the way the kids in this show were raised.  There have been no consequences for their actions…. and probably not since they were very little.  The parents are all about the drama, don’t seem that upset when their kid does get preg, do not teach them anything and they don’t make them work.  My parents just would not put up with the garbage these parents do.

@RubyStar:  I used to watch, but had to stop. I had the constant urge to smack teenagers upside the head.

I will say that there are some kids on the shows who do seem to try very hard to keep their lives together and to focus on things that are important – such as their child having a relationship with both parents, providing a stable home for the kid, and working towards a College Education.

The others though, I just can’t. Seriously, what kind of parent chooses drugs and violence over their kid?

@HisIrishPrincess:  Agree 100%. Dad always told us that if we got pregnant we could find somewhere else to live. Mom always gets the final call (and I doubt she would put her child and grandchild out on the street), but I have no doubt that they wouldn’t have helped us out as much as these parents help their kids. They’re big believers in facing the consequences of your actions.

@Sb91:  Agreed. I shook my head when Kailyn got pregnant a second time, but she’s married and owns her own home now. I can’t really judge them for deciding they were ready to have a child (I do hope that she is continuing to work towards her education though). Jenelle on the other hand. . . just no.

@RubyStar:  I am ashamed to say I watch it for the “bad-accident-can’t-look-away” factor of it (especially Jenelle). DH was actually the one to get me into the show, and he regrets it now as we both realize that it’s uber trash.

Of course, these girls are going to get prego again. Why wouldn’t they? Last time they got prego, they were rewarded with an MTV show.

@Sb91:  I think there is a statistic that 50% of teen moms become pregant again within the first 2 years after giving birht.  In that case Teen mom 2 girld did better than that.  Plus they are not teens anymore so their parents are not to blame anymore.  Plus the one girl who didn’t have her parents in her life seems to be doing the best.

@Atalanta:  Yeah, I could NEVER get into TM3. Probably a good thing. I didn’t mind TM1, but I always wanted to punch Farrah in her bitchy face. TM2 is my “fave” of the bunch.

@MrsNewDay:  yep I think most people feel this wasy since they are the longest running teen moms.  But this will be the last season I think.
