Anyone else recurrently have the dream where your teeth fall out? I do a few times a year. Falling out isn’t really the right way to put it… crumble or shatter is more like it. At the end, I end up pulling the remnants out myself. This is one of the most bizarre, and oddly the most “real” dreams that I have. I’ve read all the interpretations online about why this dream supposedly happens, but I’d like to hear what your take is on it. What’s going on with your life when you have this dream?
(To anyone who has never had or heard of this type of dream, please excuse the crazy.)

@GrannyPantiesRock: I’ve had that when I forget to brush my teeth at night! LOL Ok… I don’t “forget”, it’s only been when I’ve been super drunk and too tired so I collapse into bed with my makeup still on and stuff. I’m surprised I haven’t had dreams of humongous zits popping up all over my face because that’s the REAL consequence of just one night of laziness!

Do you also grind your teeth while you sleep or suffer from tmj? It’s super common to have those dreams.

I have these dreams all the time. Often, I wake up completely convinced this really happened. Apparently, it’s pretty common.

@GrannyPantiesRock: I have that dream every now and then too! I dream that I grind them until they break apart.. it’s so odd! And the thought of it creeps me out. I’ve looked up the meaning too but nothing seems to really fit. I haven’t been able to link it to anything happening in my life and it doesn’t appear that i’m actually physically grinding my teeth in my sleep either.. I guess I just put it down to momentary craziness haha

@GrannyPantiesRock: I’ve had those dreams! They’re always super vivid too.

I used to have these dreams all the time and they feel so real, I wake up like ‘oh no I have no teeth!’. Apparently they’re a stress/ anxiety dream and if I think about when I would have them they were around stressed times

@GrannyPantiesRock: I get them often. I’ve read it’s the feeling that you’re ‘losing control’. Like, your teeth are permanent so when they fall out or crumble, it’s the ultimate loss of control.
Yes or no?

Yes! Ha ha I remember them being so vivid that I had to google the meaning… Which I think was something a long the lines of being self concious and/or grinding your teeth ? Both of which apply to me. Plus, a random worry of mine is my teeth falling out.

@GrannyPantiesRock: I have these too. In most of them, I end up spitting out fragments of my teeth and they just won’t stop coming out…
I woke up spitting once.

@GrannyPantiesRock: Yes, in fact I have had that dream 2 out of the last three nights, so frustrating. They either completely fall out as in multiple teeth at the same time, or crumble out in pieces, completely freaks me out. I have also looked up meanings, and have found that its stress related? although I don’t really feel stressed.
I also had a dream about my parrpt cuddling with me, now how on earth a parrot cuddles I haven’t got a clue… I tend to have rather strange dreams.
