Rembrandt 2 hour whitening all the way!  My dentist told me about this and I use it in combination with the toothpaste.  Great results.

Crest strips seem to work well if you can’t get them done professionally…they can make teeth a little sensitive, but you can keep this from happening by using 1 a day instead of two….also, it depends on the type you get.  I have never had a problem using their cheapest form, and while the whitening wasn’t extreme, my Fiance noticed the difference between my teeth and my friends teeth in pictures 🙂

I have been doing this for a week, and my teeth have brightened like 2-3 shades!! Anyway, all I do is put proxide on a Q-tip, rub on your teeth for 30seconds before you brush your teeth. And bam!!

I LOVED my crest white strips (I used the ‘professional effects’ version that took 2 wks). Many shades whiter, no sensitivty or pain, very reasonably priced.

I have use 2 methods which have both worked wonders.

1. The Plus White 5 minute system with the mouth guard looking thing. (http://www.pluswhite.com/whiteners.shtml) This worked great.

2. The “cheap” walmart brand whitening strips (the 7 day kind). These worked amazing! I used them before a wedding.

3. I poured a little heap of baking soda on a toothbrush and pour a tiny bit of hydrogen peroxide on it. (Other places will say make this paste in a dish and scoop it on your toothbrush, but it’s all the same to me). THen you brush with it for 30-60 seconds, once a day for as long as it takes to get them where you want them to be. Then just once a week to keep it up.

Some years ago I spent a lot of money on that professional whitening and now i regret it. These work just as well. Good luck!

Crest strips make my teeth very sensitive, so I’ve been looking for alternative ways. I wouldn’t recommend them.

I like the Rembrandt 2-hour stuff as well. My teeth are pretty sensitive, but I haven’t had any problems with it. Some of these other methods sound pretty cool, though!

Mashed strawberry mixed with baking soda.  Leave it on for ten minutes twice a week.  My teeth are super sensitive to whitening stuff, and this is so easy and cheap and doesn’t hurt.

@Brideonabudgetlauren:  the inside of banana peel works really well. rub on teeth for abt a minute, rinse & then tear off a strip and wear it with inside of skin against yr teeth in yr mouth for a few mins. then rinse.

I agree with the hydrogen peroxide tip … I’m pretty nuts over white teeth, so I’m willing to try anything, and I honestly used the hydrogen peroxide on a q tip once and it visibly brightened my pearly whites.

good luck!
