@Tibbs:  Ok I have a yellow diamond.  And just like white diamonds or any other diamond they do sparkle.  The way in which they sparkle is totally dependent of cut and sometimes flourescense.    I’m not really sure what other information you’re looking for.

This is my yellow diamond band:

They sparkle, but I’ve only noticed it in yellow tones.

Mine’s a light fancy yellow/peach according to the initial jewellers valuation, it’s never been graded by any of the ‘proper’ places though!  Some lights make it look light yellow, in others it looks peach or more champagne, i love the colour change aspect of it!  i purposely wanted a warm stone rather than a white one as i love the vintage rings out there that have lovely warm stones in them.  I would say that mine sparkles just as much as a lighter diamond but the sparkles do seem to be more rainbowy and warmer than my mum’s ring which is quite a high colour grade.

Here’s a pic

and my attempt to capture s little of the sparkle

@Tibbs:  yellow diamonds really vary because the color changes between shades can be drastic.  Why not visit a few jewelers and see if they have any?  But it would probably help to know the color grade of your own stone.  Mine is a fancy intense yellow

Some people hate yellow diamonds, it really is personal preference. I LOVE them and am eyeing off a couple of beautiful yellow diamond rings but I’m on my iPad and can’t upload picture. I’m very jealous though! Hopefully some more Bees can upload their yellow diamonds for you.

@Tibbs thank you!

We bought it used and it was described as vintage. Being in the UK we’d never come across a halo ring (other than the 80’s style princess diana sapphire copy ones!) before.  All i really know about it is what’s on the valuation which came with it and that it’s from the US. I was initially stalking a website, faye cullen, as they had a very similar halo with a champagne diamond but it was way, way out of our price range and that was described as art deco.

I’ve seen similar rings since coming across the bee though 🙂

I believe canarydiamond has a fancy yellow old miners cushion cut? Idk how to tag people but look for her, her ring is gorgeous.

@Tibbs:  The other photos I have are all pretty much the same.

Yellow diamond sparkle-factor depends on the same thing as colourless diamonds – cut. I have a 1.48 fancy yellow modified round brilliant (an oval that’s cut like a round). It sparkles like crazy.

As for ‘rainbows’ – well, when light hits it, it casts ‘rainbows’ on the wall just like a colourless diamond. The fire inside is mostly shades of yellow, white and green, although I get some flashes of red and blue.

Here’s a pic for reference;
