One of my closest friends is someone I dated a few years ago.  My boyfriend is a little bothered by it, but I think he realizes I am absolutely not interested any longer.

Well, one day my boyfriend comes home with a joke gift - a book with my friend's name on it.  He said he saw it and thought of me, and knows how much my friend means to me and wanted me to have it.  I thought it was so sweet, and he was being genuine about it.

So tell me something YOUR significant other did!!

    Aw, that's cute.

R gets me coffee in the morning if he leaves before me. I know it's only a short walk to the kitchen, but it's such a wonderful thing to wake up to on my bedside table!

Aw, those are too cute!  My FI texted me last night to see if I was still awake (I was asleep because of a very early appointment this morning), so when I didn't respond he sent me this text:

"Sleep well! Dream of me as I do of you!  You are the life of my heart and my soul! I long for you - the one and only love of my life! I love you always!"

Awwww...when I have THAT to wake up to at 5 in the morning, life is so much better al of the sudden! :-)

Cute!  My fiance will make me dinner anytime I go to visit him and will not serve me anything until he "gets the recipe just right."  I offer to cook all the time, but he always says that he wants to spoil me during the time we have together on the weekends.  He has also started being very vigilant about opening doors, pulling out chairs, etc.  He's really becoming quite the charmer as the wedding gets closer!

When my dog ran away (for like 5 minutes) a few nights ago he ran outside sans shoes or shirt to help me find him, stayed calm enough to help me find him, and didn't make fun of me when he came back and i almost cried... just hugged me and told me it was ok that he was back now. :)

My fiance told me yesterday that whenever he sees my cell phone lying around the house, he picks it up and sticks it in my purse so that I don't forget it when I leave the house. (Cuz I do that all the time!)  Apparently he's been doing this for months, and I never noticed.  I thought it was the sweetest thing!

My husband of 6 months and I have been living apart for 4 years. Once or twice a year he surprises me with the funniest cards from Etsy or wherever his secret source is. He is not very expressive in real life and his messages are simple, but they show how much he knows about me and are a truly poignant source of encouragement. I wish I knew how to return the favor...

When asked what he wanted to do tonight, my husband sent me this e-mail:

Watch sunset at Paynes Prairie, make you eggplant Parmesan, and stroll around downtown for coffee/tea and dessert.

I think it is very sweet and romantic, especially the part about amking my favorite dinner!!

My fi works in the music industry and he found out by chance that some people he was working with were also working with one of my favorite musicians ever, and that they were setting up a bunch of shows for him in NY. So he took me up to New York for one of the shows and I got to meet him! I was very proud of myself for not being too fangirly around him, but I was goofball excited on the inside :) I thought it was the sweetest thing that my fi went out of his way to plan that trip just so I could meet one of my rock n roll idols. I wish I could do the same for him!

One time, I was in bed with a terrible stomach ache and nausia (I had eaten somthing bad) and my fiance went to the store to pick me up some crackers, tea and soda water. When he got home, he made me a cup of really good tea... I asked him what kind of tea it was, and he replied, "It's PMS tea."

I thought It was the funniest thing, because he just assumed since I had a stomach ache, it was PMS, and he was SO caring about it!

So now whenever I get a stomach ache, PMS related or not, he makes me "PMS tea."

    :)

He puts little notes either in my lunch or on the fridge for me.  One said, "Another note in your lunch, this boy must REALLY love you!"

what a cute thread! i am absolutely HORRIBLE at being surprised...meaning - when I was a child, at christmas time, I'd actually carefully cut open my christmas gifts (if they went under the tree before the day) at the tape lines and unwrap/re-tape them...i'm also stalking my registry like crazy! lol.

however - i'm also TOTALLY oblivious when it does come to some things...and my 30th birthday was last august. my best friend and I decided to go see a movie (of course she had been in on it...) and after the movie, I came home - on the way home, he called to ask me to park in front of the house instead of on the side...I did this - walked in and SURPRISE - all of our friends AND my parents were there for my 30th birthday surprise party! it was the absolute BEST gift ever - as I'm seriously, again AWEFUL at being surprised at things. I've never in my life ever had anyone throw me a party and it will always be the best ever. :)

He does a lot of cute little things for me but my favorite was something he did for me when we first started dating.

We worked together (at the same company but in different departments) and we used to eat lunch at these picnic tables outside every day with our group of friends. I never brought lunch with me so I always had to run out before lunch to grab something to bring back and eat.

One day, maybe after our second date, he came to say hi to me at my desk in the morning and told me that he'd made me a sandwich that morning and brought it in since I never had lunch. I thought that was SO cute and thoughtful.

I leave about ten minutes before him every morning and he will stand at the window and wave/kiss/ASL sign for "love" (and our nerdy secret bear paw signal) at me until I can't see him anymore. I keep blowing kisses back and its this rediculous display of affection I am totally embarrassed of but would be butt hurt to all hell if he didn't do it.

He's not terribly expressive whenever it comes to matters like these, he's not cheesy or schmoopy, but he shows his feelings in cute little ways:

    - Whenever I go out by myself, he would always make sure I have pepper spray with me and make sure I remember the emergency phone numbers (it's such a SMALL thing, but it makes me smile like an idiot knowing he's looking out for me that way).

Or that one time on my birthday, he painted something for me, complete with silly poetry on the back of it XD <3

My fi did my taxes today, made me dinner, did the laundry and just gave me a back rub!

But the cutest thing he does, is when he thinks I'm asleep and I'm cuddled on his shoulder, he'll lightly run his fingers down my face, and tell me he loves me. I woke up to him doing it once, and it makes my heart clench every time!

My SO is not very romantic, but he is very sweet. When we first started dating, he would always get me lipgloss. Actually, he gets me lots of little things that I need or use often.

Also, when we were first dating, he used to come to my job to take me to the train station (a few blocks away) every single day. Because of having kids, I didn't get to spend a lot of time with him, so it was his way of spending extra time with me.

He is an aspiring musician and has wrote TONS of songs about me.
