I’ve always wanted to ask this for fun. I still have my baby blanket(s), but my Darling Husband thinks I’m a nutter so I keep them in my closet. His mom put his little dolly in a shadowbox, so I can only make fun of him for it when we’re visiting her. How about you? Did you have a baby blanket/stuffed animal? Where is it now?

My blankets were hand-me-downs that were then handed down to my brother. I had a few stuffed animals laying around, but everything has been given to my niece now (she’s almost 2). She’ll appreciate it more and I’d rather her play with them than let them collect dust somewhere.

Yup, my blanket has traveled across many states with me. My husband’s favorite stuffed animal from childhood recently joined us too so now he can’t make fun of me. 🙂
MrsBuesleBee: That is the best reply ever. I laughed so hard (but also completely agree)!

MrsBuesleBee: lol love it. Darling Husband knows things are about to get real if he finds me in bed with my blankie.

Yes, in storage at my parents’ house. I could never throw them away! My favorite doll as a child was a plush troll doll (plush body, plastic troll head) I named Briar Rose, the name Aurora has in Sleeping Beauty when she’s living in the woods with the fairies. I’m hoping to give her to my kids one day.

Hell yes! I got Uni the stuffed unicorn from my long-deceased grandmother for my 3rd birthday and he’s still on my bedstand now at age 32. He got lost in a storage unit for about a year and a half and I was freaking the fuck out. My husband knows Uni was around long before him so he keeps his trap shut 😉
MrsBuesleBee: ha! awesome.

I have my stuffed mouse with yellowpolka dots overalls that I’ve kept for 23 years. It’s in the garage in a box but I will never get rid of it.
I loved it so much while growing up. I even gave him a hair treatment of tuna oil because I thought he deserved it I have curly hair and my mama always used some sort of smoothing oil (never tuna ha!) on my hair so I thought he needed that as well (I was 4-5 at the time).

I have my teddy bear that I still sleep with! My grandma gave her to me when I was just a month old – she used to be bigger than I was! I took her everywhere with me when I was younger. Fiance never really connected with any of his childhood things, so he thinks I’m a little nutty, but he rolls with it 🙂
My brother had a stuffed barney as a child; he’s 18 years old now. I went to visit my parent’s house recently and walked by his room – the barney was hanging out on his pillow! My brother is too proud to admit it, but he still loves his barney too 🙂 Must run in the family! lol

MrsBuesleBee: I keep mine stuffed inside the case of one of the spare pillows. It sleeps on the floor most nights, but sometimes I sneak it out if I’ve had a rough day. If I am upset or having anxiety, it is the first thing I reach for and it almost always makes me feel better. HOW SAD.
Mine is a sweatshirt that literally fits a 5 yr old..I don’t even think I ever wore it. Somehow I ended up with it and haven’t given it up since. I didn’t leave the room without it until I was in high school (I mean…I left the house without it. I wasn’t THAT weird). Now it is in shreds and I am too worried it will disintigrate to even wash it. It is the nastiest thing ever and I love it.

Yes, I still have my first teddy bear. It’s a a Paddington bear, but unfortunately I have lost his raincoat and hat long ago. I do not sleep with it, but I can’t imagine getting rid of it, ever.
