Your cake sounds incredible! Mine too is the cake, our flavours are quite normal but we’ve a lot of young children coming & a lot of picky people to make happy but my cake lady is amazing!

We are having triple chocolate with a caramel frosting, raspberry & white choc, & the last tier is going to be lemon & ginger. For the grooms cake he’s getting red vevlet & white chocolate xx

I had some cake at my wedding, but I don’t really remember what it tasted like.  I was too distracted and happy to notice.  People tell me it was good, though.

I’m an August ’14 bee, but I couldn’t help responding! We’re having a destination wedding in Dublin and ever since our menu tasting I have been DYING for another slice of our dessert course – Bailey’s Irish Cream cheesecake. It was HEAVENLY.

We’re having our favourite bakery cater our lunch reception and I’m super excited to have 1) a tuna sandwich – totally magical and handsdown the most incredible sandwhich ever! 2) cake and an eclair!  We have three wedding cakes (one three tier and two 8 inch) and a dessert buffet with French and Dutch pastries. I’m so excited to sample the desserts 🙂 I’m going to make sure that I get to eat on our wedding day!

oh man, our food looks incredible so I’m going to name a few of them that I can’t wait to try (we only got a cake tasting, but the reviews of this chef/venue are 5 star all the way!)

For starters: white truffle potato croquet & of course brown sugar glazed bacon & scallops. YUM!

Main course: I honestly can’t decide which of our three choices I’m going to pick, but I’m leaning towards this one because it looks & sounds amazing! – chicken en croute – which is chicekn breast stuffed with spinach & cheese (forget which kind) and wrapped in phyllo dough!

kgba:  That sounds heavenly. What I would do for a piece of that cake. I’d love to see the rest of your menu.

After reading all of your posts, I’m suddenly starving. I’m huge on food, and wish I could taste all of your dishes. Yum. One of my very good friends is going to cater our wedding. She is a professional chef and her dishes are out of this world. I’m most excited for two dishes:

1. Lobster quesadilla with peach salsa

2. Pork belly enchilada with tomatillo ranch dressing

Wow – everyone’a food/cake sounds amazing!!! Makes my mouth water reading all these posts.

We’re having a destination wedding in NYC so we opted not to have a cake just to be a little different, instead we’re having basically cookies and ice cream supplied by a company called Coolhaus. I am soooooo looking forward to it!!
