I'd love to hear what everyone is using as well. I want something more upbeat and can't handle songs with the cheese factor (i.e. butterfly kisses). I do enjoy the Paul Simon song "Father and Daughter" but that might be too much for me too. :) Although, if I left it up to my dad, he'd choose Freebird.

We're Irish, and it sounds like an Irish blessing...I didn't cry at all, all day, until this...And I bawled like a friggin baby! Good thing I had my Daddy to hold me up.
We were going to use Simple Man by Lynyrd Skynyrd. We decided to go w/ Here for You by Ozzy instead.
My dad is really proud of his Polish heritage. We haven't talked about it, but I might try to talk him into a crazy polka. It would certainly be different.
I was just making a list of songs to make a CD for my Dad. We will be using Van Morrison - Into the Mystic because it has special meaning for us.

My dad chose My Little Girl by Tim McGraw. He loves sappy country songs, there was no way around it lol
My Dad and I are dancing to "Across the Universe" but not the Beatles version...we're using the Rufus Wainwright version, which has a little more dancability.
I'm dancing to Walk With You by Edwin McCain also. I just hope I don't cry like a little baby.
We danced to "Tell him" by Colbie Cailait, it was amazing. Everyone wanted to know who sung the song so they could go get it.
I always knew me and my Dad would dance to Landslide by Fleetwood Mac. A live version that starts with, "this is for you, Daddy."
I'm not sure if I'll make it past the first line. 
I've been stuck on "I loved her first" by Heartland since the first time I heard it, even before I even met my fiance. But now that I see the lyrics for the Edwin McCain song, I love it!! I've never heard that one before! :-)
@MissDallasCowboy: Me too! I've listened to it about 5 or 6 times and I still cry every time.
We used Jimmy Buffett's "Little Miss Magic", it just kind of fit perfectly.
Unforgetable by Nat King Cole and Natalie Cole...I think it's beautiful how it's a father and daugher singing the same song.

My dad picked "In My Daughter's Eyes" by Martina McBride. I LOVE the song, but now I really want to hear this Edwin McCain song you ladies are talking about! The words are great!!
