i’m doing this. I’ll simply wear the band on my right hand when i upgrade. I cant bring myself to spend $1500 on the ring i want when that can go toward the wedding day instead. And FI is fine with this.

There are tons of options if you want a plain or anniversary band. These are all under or around $300, This is the style i want though. If you let us see your engagement ring we can probably give you better ideas.

Ha i just realized your ring is your picture. I think the 3rd one i posted would look amazing with it.

Honestly, you can snag a plain old Tungsten band in a color to match your e-ring for like $25 on Amazon, maybe even less depending on your size.  And then afterward, you can wear it as a spacer between your e-ring and whatever wedding band you choose, to protect both of them (diamonds rubbing on metal tends to eat away at the metal).  I do that sometimes with my “stand in” wedding band, which doesn’t match the metals but I think it looks cool.  If you’re going to go that route, that’s what I’d suggest. Heck, a friend of mine did that because the week before her wedding her jeweler had messed up her wedding band like five or six times and couldn’t fix it again in time, so she bought a cheap band off Amazon and had it overnighted, and two years later she still wears it as her only wedding band.

@Swizzle:  I agree with you. A nice band would be an awesome option until you have the finances to buy the ring of your dreams. You can switch the nice band to your right hand so it’s still worn at that point.

Here’s my white sapphire set with diamond wedding band. I got them for $330 all together, in 10K white gold. It’s art deco and original in my opinion. I love them!
