I’m 7 months pregnant and my fingers are starting to swell. I can tell that I will not make it to the end of pregnancy being able to still wear my rings.
I have heard of other women who bought inexpensive rings to wear during pregnancy. I think it sounds like a great idea so I’m going to get a $20 silver ring to wear in the place of my wedding/e-rings
Anyone else thinking of doing this too?

Great idea! Makes a lot of sense.

I got a cheapo set from Macy’s but pretty much abandoned the whole thing towards the end. I just didn’t care that much, I figured everyone would be able to conclude that I was swollen from pregnancy hence the no ring, and if people thought “That poor unwed mother!” that was their problem. And I didn’t need to worry about keeping the men away either haha!

Yep, I bought a $10 ring that looked similar to my custom ring in my second trimester. Then 4 months after giving birth, my ring still wouldn’t fit so I got it resized for free at the jeweler who originally did it. I was super happy when I finally got to wear my real ring again.

I’m about 7 1/2 months and as long as I’m inside with the a/c my ring isn’t too uncomfortable but when I go outside or am busy all day the rings definitely get uncomfortable because of the swelling. I’m actually going to start wearing a tahitian pearl ring we bought on our honeymoon that I usually wear on my middle finger.

My right hand is actually a ring size bigger than my left. For the days I’ve been swollen I’ve just used one of my right hand rings instead!

I wear my wedding band on a silver chain around my neck.

Prior to our wedding, I had bought an inexpensive sterling silver band to wear on our honeymoon while in the pool, on the beach, etc. It’s a half size bigger than my wedding ring, so that’s what I’ve been wearing lately. And if I grow out of that one, too, I’m just going to start wearing whatever other rings I have that are big enough, whether they look like wedding rings or not!

That is such a good idea!
My proposal ring is bigger than my wedding/engagement rings, so I could wear that for a while, and I purposefully got a wedding band a little larger than my engagement ring for this very reason, as a friend had had to remove her wedding band when pregnant, and she said she hated feeling like a big chav!

I don’t know if I will wear one toward the end of pregnancy. Too many stories of people having to get them cut off. Maybe something plastic? lol
