I guess the name of the hotel is well chosen then! 🙂

If you’re looking for places that aren’t topless, look for something in Punta Cana – it’s illegal to be topless.. they’ll tolerate it sometimes on the beach if you’re quiet not moving on your chair, but it’s rare.

Or look into any Caribbean island that’s English.. It’s usually topFUL

Yeah, Temptation resort is sort of like a toned-down version of Hedonism.  I know I wouldn’t be comfortable there, I don’t really want to play “games” with other half-naked people.

But a lot of tropical spots have topless sunbathers.  I think it is somewhat less common in Mexico though, and the actual Mexican people definitely do not sunbathe topless.

oh you have to watcch that- the best arguement for sunscreen i have ever seen is the topless beaches in the south of France- there is not an age/ fitness requirement and a lot of those women have sunbathed with no sunscreen their whole lives. *shudder*

@OhBeeHive84:That’s strange – where I sayed there were signs everywhere on the beaches that partial nudity was illegal in the Dominican. We frequently saw guards notify women who tried to take their tops off that they had to put it back. That was in January this year.

This is a great point – adults only doesn’t mean it caters to couples.  Temptation has a sister resort where I have stayed – and we went on a day cruise sponsored by Temptation.  It’s riske and NOT honeymoon worthy in my opinion either (but I had a blast – I was single and down in Mexico with my girlfriends!)

The Desire Resort in Mexico is also clothing optional.

I was in the Dominican Republic, Punta Cana a little over 2 years ago.  Lots of Europeans, and from what I understand Europeans sunbathe topless.  Lots of topless sunbathing on the beach.  Enough to where I was comfortable enough to try it 🙂  There were also lots of people just walking up and down Bavaro Beach topless… I noticed a few of them in my pics!

Lots of resorts don’t like it at the pools though.

@egb- I think the resort might be able to dictate whether you can be topless or not… did you stay at a family oriented resort?

@Angela83:I did; however the signs on the beach stated that nudity, complete or partial, was illegal in the Dominican… Now what I understand is that they don’t enforce it everywhere, but they sure did at my hotel.

@egb: I went 2 years ago, so it could be that the rules got tougher. I also think it may vary from resort to resort.  I stayed at a ” Bavaro something something” lol the name was veryyy long and a lot of these resorts had simliar names, so I can’t remember the exact.
