Hi there!

Congrats on your engagment 🙂

It’s lovely to have a fellow bride wondering the same questions as I am… My fiance and I are getting married at Holcim in August 2015 as well.  Have you hd any luck finding a tent decorator? Mark told us that there is a decorator that he can suggest, who has worked with the tent before, but we have not inquired about this further.

Great choice on the venue Bees!

nataliaonline:  We are also having our wedding at Holcim in the tent next August, the day before yours! We are working with a Decorator… We just completed our first site visit with her and have begun discussing the same things, lighting/draping. I wonder if we could leave our draping/lighting set-up for both the Friday/Saturday and potentially alleviate some costs!

Hi all!<br /><br />I too have booked Holcim for Sept.19, 2015! I love the venue! I am currently in the process of looking for a decorator for the draping and lighting of the tent.

I have been in contact with Dina, who is Holcim’s preferred vendors and she has quoted me $1940 to do the tent draping and lights inside the fabric.

I am wondering if anyone has any recommendations for other decorators that Holcim has used, so that I can price compare.

I too am also looking for chandeliers (4) to hang from each peak in the tent, so please do let me know if you have any contacts! Maybe we can work out a cost effective booking! 🙂

Hey Ladies!

I too am looking for a tent decorator for the Holcim! My date is a bit far out though (Sept 4 2016). I did get in touch with Dina and she said it would be $1100.00 for ceiling staging including the poles. Not too sure what exactly that means in regards to decor. Doesnt include set up and take down thats $275.00 extra. I also inquired about candelabras and theyre $65.00 each to rent.

Definitely think little things here and there will add up pretty fast for decor. I too will keep on the lookout for any other decorators that have worked with tents before and are cost effective.

Also, do you ladies know what the lighting situation is like in the tent?

I am looking to get married in summer 2016 and have been searching for venues with a tent. I too have found the search to be very discouraging in terms of price. If it is not too forward, how much does this venue cost for a Saturday and what is included?

The venue is booked through the city. The cost for the tent rental for a Saturday is $3700.00 +tax. For a Friday Sunday it runs at $1900.00+tax. I think theres also small charges the city adds onto.

And all it includes is the tent lol. The tables chairs etc are provided by the catering company you have to use. They also give you access to the house though which is really nice!

nataliaonline:  Hellooo! Yeah I dont know if im gonna go with Dina for decor. Her work is lovely but a little too pricey for me. For all the things I want/looking for I’m sure its gonna be a pricey tab. I’m hoping to go to a bridal show soon and see if I can snag some deals with another vendor or at least get more bang for my buck. I’ll keep this thread updated if I find anything! I got the guys from the city to email me the dimensions of the tent so I will go semi prepared lol.

I am also getting marriend at Holcim on July 23, 2016. I totally wanted the draping, but as of right now, I want to get other things in order and established before I commit to Dina because it is expensive!

Does anyone know if Edge will set up chandiliers for you if you rent them from a 3rd party vendor? And has anyone seen the gold Chivari chairs? Are they like tacky god or a softer, almost rose gold?

I have so many questions about the venue and what I am allowed to do – I find it hard to get in touch with Zorka (maybe because I am not getting married until next summer, but I cannot help it if I like planning and being organized now so I have less to deal with later!) Is anyone else running into this?

Who is Zorka..Pretty sure I know nothing about my venue now! ahaha 

I’m meeting with a wedding decorator this weekend! shes pretty cost effective for reception and celeremony decor. I’m doing ceiling draping and chandaliers too..I’ll update you guys once I meet with her and get a good feel about her work materials etc.
