@GooteyBootey:  Too early. Test Xmas morning – you might get something at 9DPO.

ETA – only test if it’s not going to ruin your holiday if it’s negative.  9 DPO is still quite early. I personally wouldn’t test  until your period was do. But, know that if you test on xmas and get a negative, you’re not out.

@MrsWBS:  I agree! Too early! You are most likely setting yourself up for disappointment…and early negatives SUCK. Wait until Christmas morning if you can.

@GooteyBootey:  Too early! Even if you implanted at the earliest, HCG takes 2-4 days to show up in your urine. Wait until a minimum of 10 DPO, anything else is just wasting your money. I’d personally wait until 12 dpo to reduce the chance of a false negative. Stay strong!!

@GooteyBootey:  Very much too early for a FRER at this point. I would wait until you are maybe 10 DPO or later to get a good line.

cramping the whole 7 days doesn’t mean anything, I get ovulation cramps, and twinges happen all the time .. it’s not necessarily implantation.  Are you sure you’re 7 DPO? definitely wait..way too early.

I’m thinking of buying myself a cheap RHR or bracelet that will remind me to not POAS until i’m ready.

lol one bee on here I can’t remember, I think it was Mars, she put a “D” or “DNP” in red marker or lipstick or something on her hand to remind her to wait.

Definitely too early! From this cycle on, I’m never testing again until the day AF is due. Maybe you are pregnant, but it’s for sure too early to tell. Let hope hold out a little longer, because your enthusiam will start to fade with each negative.

FWIW, I was absolutely convinced I was pregnant in October – cramps, twinges, increased sense of smell, the whole nine yards. I wasn’t.

Fingers crossed for your BFP in just a few more days!

Too early! I got negatives on FRERs until 10 dpo… my first positive was at 14 dpo. I spent a whole lot of time depressed about not being pregnant… while I actually was pregnant. I know it’s hard, but try to hold out for a few more days!

after my first cycle of being a crazy person, i told myself just to wait until AF is due and then test.  cycle 2 was better, though when AF was a day late, i tested that morning, sure I was KU, got a BFN and then AF a few hours later.

wait as long as you can.  BFNs suck.

@GooteyBootey:  I’m one for statistics and based on my research the best first day to test is DPO 12. I think you’ll reduce false negatives massively.

I am sort of in this same boat.  I am 12DPO today (maybe 13, FF and I seem to disagree by a day).  We are suppose to get on a plane tonight to go see my family, but I would really like to know if I am or not.  My cycle is 22-25 days on a normal month.  Today is CD24.  I have gone as late as 28 days, but that is rare for me and that month FF picked up ovulation at CD17 (hense the longer cycle).
