It's an island in Phuket, and it is seriously fantastic! We spent a week there last year, it wasn't our honeymoon, but it sure could have been.
It's secluded, romantic, and absolutely gorgeous.

Hello, My name is Gina and I am a freelance photographer from NZ, based in Phuket, Thailand.
I specialize in engagement, wedding, trash the dress, honeymoon and holiday portraits so get to check out all the luxury resorts (which is fun but I don't get to stay there). On Phi Phi everyone loves Phi Phi Island Beach Resort. After you arrive at the pier you need to take a long tail boat to the private resort. A bit of a trip, but worth the effort.
In Phuket my favorite resorts are Movenpick in Karon, The Old Phuket in Karon, Evason Senses and Spa in Naiharn and there is a new Marriot at Surin beach which is really nice.
Go to ginasmithphotography.com to see examples my work which feature many of the resorts mentioned above.
YAY Racha Island! We are going there for our honeymoon! I am so excited to find someone who's been there. It's a small island off phuket- just as gorgeous, 1/2 as touristy. We're also going to Bangkok for 5 days. I don't know what your definition of reasonable is, but The Racha was about $330/night for 7 nights- that's a deluxe pool suite (private pool plus everything you could ever want), and it's about middle of the range of what they offer. they have basic suites (6000 bhat i think?) and it goes up from there.
ginabean- i sent you a pm! i would love to hear your thoughts on racha!
Hey there
I went to Phuket this year and totally recommend it for a honeymoon! I did the phi phi island tour which is worth it. If you want to stay in Phuket, check out Alpina =) AWESOME AESOME AESOME
OOOO post pictures when you get back you guys are going to have the greatest time!
My togs were from http://tropicpic.com and we've moved from island to island to make a number of photo sessions, absolutely loved that! Though I likes Phi Phi much better than Phuket. I would want to go back to Phi-Phi very much!!!!

Anyone have recommendations for a great, relaxing hotel in the Phi Phi island area? Is this the best place to go for a Thai Honeymoon? We will probably fly into Bangkok, stay for a night or two, then fly to Phuket. Just looking for hotel suggestions that are luxurious and reasonable.
What is there to see in Bangkok?
Thanks for your suggestions!
