My fiance and I are going to Thailand for our honeymoon at the end of October. I'm so excited to go! I have done a lot of research and def. want to go a couple days in Bangkok, but mainly hit the islands... Im a bit overwhelmed. Can anyone help me? We're going for two weeks and I dont want to miss a thing! Smile

I've been there.  Lots to do in Thailand!  Bangkok can be overwhelming, but I was working there so spent a full 6 weeks and got used to it.

If you have time, it is worth it to go north to Chaing Mai, and then of course there are the islands.  I ended up on Ko Samui, which may be considered somewhat cliché, but suited my needs!

Ooh you will love it!  My fiance and I went for 10 days about two years ago, and we always talk about how it's the perfect honeymoon destination!  The people there are super-friendly, and it's absolutely beautiful (and affordable!).

We spent some time in Bangkok, Phuket, Khao Lak, and Koh Phi Phi.  We both loved Koh Phi Phi and wished that we had more time there.  A little cliched, but for good reason -- the beaches are GORGEOUS!  On one day we hired a longboat "driver" for the day who took us around all the little islands and bays.  I would definitely recommend doing that -- you can jump on and off the boat to snorkel/swim whenever you want, and they know the best spots.  If you go to Koh Phi Phi, I would recommend staying on the northern tip of Phi Phi Don; it's more secluded and romantic.  If you have any more questions feel free to msg me!

Ko Chang is nice - it's a little more quiet than some of the the other islands, and the place we stayed was more rustic.  My parents actually went there on a separate trip from me and loved it - they rented kayaks one day and had a great time exploring. Ko Samui is more touristy but has nice resorts. And it has an airport with daily flights to Bangkok, so it's one of the more accessible islands.
