This is an etiquette question about thank you cards, but NWR. I just had a child, and when I came back to work last week I had a card on my desk from 4 coworkers that each put some money in the card. They each signed their name to the card.
I have found out that work is also throwing me a baby shower on June 3. The 4 ladies that gave me a card are coming to the baby shower too. Usually for bridal and baby showers, work collects some money from employees that want to contribute and then pool the money together and get the biggest item off your registry.
I don’t know if those ladies are going to contribute more money or not, and I really don’t care because, in my eyes, they have already been way more than generous (it was such a sweet surprise to have that card when I came back to work), but my question is should I write those 4 ladies a separate thank you each or should I just write a big thank you to all my coworkers after the shower and just include them in that? I don’t mind writing them out individual thank you’s at all, but I wanted to see what everyone else would do.
