This might be a lofty goal, but I am hoping to hand write each card. If we have the pro pics back by then, I will try to include a 4x6 of a pic that includes the guest. Hopefully most of the guests will be in at least 1 photo.
Handwritten is always better. You can still include a photo though. Or you could handwrite a thank you note onto the photo card.
Handwritten all the way. They took the time to join me on the special day, I will take the time to thank them personally.
Generic photo cards are a major pet peeve of mine. If you go with photo cards, please write a personalized note on them. I don't think anybody should recieve the exact same note as your grandmother, co-worker, MOH, etc gets.
It is absolutely essential to write personalized thank-yous for all guests who took the time and money to buy you a gift.
My plan is to pick a photograph of me&hubs and have it printed, stick it to the front of the card, have part of the thank you note printed inside the card and add a handwritten personal message as well.
Handwritten...its a PITA but it is much more appropriate than a generic message photo card!!
Handwritten. Yeah the other is easier but writing them out by hand is appreciated alot more by the recipient. That's not to say that you have to nix the photos if you were planning to include them.

I'm addressing the envelopes now for thank you cards so that it will be easy for me to thank everyone for attending, thinking of us, gifts, etc, as soon as we come back from the honeymoon.
Are you going to send a hand-written thank you card with a personalized message for each guest, or will you be sending a photo card with a generic (but heartfelt) message?
