The SO asked me to check out Craiglist to see if I can find an inexpensive engagement ring for me. I was happy and a little discouraged at the same time. Happy because he’s telling me to look at rings, discouraged because there aren’t a lot of pretty looking inexpensive rings on Craiglist. So I go look and take find anyaround the city we live in so I decided to look further away from where we live and what do I find?
MY RING!!! Same maker, same design, same carat, same color for under his budget!!!! I picked this ring out a couple of weeks ago but it was too expensive for him.
So I showed him and he asks me what I thought about it and I told that it was my ring and it’s under his price. He then says well I guess we better email that person, He emailed the seller
Here’s hoping he gets it!

I am so excited for you! Nothing better than getting what you want, except getting it for a lower price. =)

What a great find! I’ve seen some beautiful e-rings on craigslist but you definitely have to get through all the outdates ones. Can’t wait till you get to wear it!

Update?! Do you know if it worked out for him?

Its still early he just emailed the seller today, but even if it did work out for him he wouldn’t tell me. 😛

You would know though. You’ll know he didn’t get it if he asks you to look on Craigslist again.
That’s what I don’t like about Craigslist. We got our washer and dryer off there and each time we emailed someone there was SO MUCH anticipation on whether or not we were the first to email them.
Good luck! If he doesn’t bring it up again, let us know, and I’ll assume the best!! 🙂

well if this isn’t a sign to get it I don’t know what is……
The seller emailed him back! I peeked at his email (I was week so sue me.) He left his cell number because she asked if she could call him tomorrow. Wanna know the kicker? It’s in my size too!!!
I finally have a sign!!!

I hope you get it! Craigslist and eBay are great ways to find items to save money. I’m all about finding great deals to get what you want!

If he does get it, maybe have him meet the seller at an appraiser so he can ensure the ring is what the seller says it is.
Your bf could offer to pay the appriaser fee, it’s worth it for peace of mind even if the ring on CL is a lot less than retail, you want to make sure you are getting what is being advertised.

What’s it look like? picture picture!

WOW. That’s a sign if I ever heard one. If there’s still time, make sure he gets it checked out at an independent jeweler before he puts all the money down (it can be hard to tell the difference between a diamond and a CZ, sapphire or moissy, especially if you’re a guy). After that, I’d go get my nails did. November and December do account for 26% of all marriage proposals after all. 😀
