Hi Bees – I interviewed over the phone on Wed for a work from home position with the co’s HR Director and I am extremely interested. The problem is, I didn’t get her email address so that I could send a thank you email (which would also be an opportunity to re-state my interests and qualifications for the position).
An HR Coordinator arranged the interview (I emailed her after to thank her for that – no response) but I noticed that her email address is generated through a system (doesn’t have something like first initial.last name@company where I could figure out the Director’s email). Her email signature also did not have an email address in it, but it did have a direct phone number. I tried googling the HR Director and couldn’t find an email address that way either.
I really really want to be considered for this job but do not want to make a faux pas, either by not thanking the interviewer, or by being seen as pushy. What do you think I should do?

Did you already check the company’s website for an email address? What about her LinkedIn? They usually have email addresses on there. If not I would call the front office and just ask for her email. I don’t think that would be too weird.

courtja : Thank you. I’m so stressed about this and probably totally overthinking it. Her LinkedIn does not have an email and the co website doesn’t either.

Previously when I interviewed and didn’t receive email address for thank you’s, I sent the thank you email to the coordinator and asked him or her if they would mind forwarding them along.
If you’re concerned that the coordinator might not be on top of things, you can always mail a real handwritten note, though I’d get on that ASAP given the time it takes to snail mail.

Thanks everyone. It turned out that there was no way to message her on Linkedin (only through the InMail feature for premium users) and when I called the co main line I just got an automated message, so I ended up calling the coordinator on her direct line and she happily gave it to me. Guess I definitely was overthinking this one haha. Thanks for the help!
