So, I ordered these great flip flops for my bridesmaids. I thought they were perfect. They were from the GAP, and it took me a while to find ones I like. So I ordered them about 2 weeks ago. I was tracking the info, and tracking said they arrived last Thursday night. I checked the mail room in our building (which isn’t secure, but usually nothing happens) and they weren’t there. I kinda shrugged it off and figured that they would be coming in the weekend. Well checked again yesterday and basically confirmed…..some ASSHOLE had stolen the package. Well given that it’s only 2.5 weeks to the wedding, I had a nervous breakdown…it was just the last straw. Fiance saw how upset I was.
Well today, Fiance called GAP, explained what happened and…they’re shipping a whole new set to his office….with free shipping. Needless to say, thank you so much GAP, because I was so freakin upset.
On another note. I hate people who steal. I mean seriously, hope you enjoy 8 pairs of sandals, you low life.

I’m so sorry. I feel for people who were victims of theft. Some stupid jerk stole my road bike, my main means of transportation. I don’t have a car! I’ve had visions of vengeance that may not be too nice to post… grrrrr.

@penguinsaremyfriends: Oh I plan on leaving a note. Telling them I hope they enjoy my bridesmaids’ gifts. I also wrote a pretty scathing email to our management company and our board of directors, because the lack of security in our building is just unacceptable.
@KatNYC2011: And uh yeah, I feel like if I see anyone wearing gold flip flops around our building, I might chase after them and beat the crap out of them. Well, in my mind I would beat them up. In reality, I’d probably just swear under my breath and give them evil looks.

Kudos to GAP! I’m happy it will work out for you in the end. Definitely leave a note in the mail room. I hope the theif sees it and realizes their douchery.
@MrsPinkPeony: OMG, something similar happened to me once. Someone smashed my car window, took a pack of gum and .50 cents, then smashed my Justin Timberlake CD in half! Either they didn’t want sexy back or they were pissed I had nothing valuable in there. Who does that?! lol

I had a package stolen from my right outside my door one time. I ordered a cute skirt off ebay and it said it was delivered (delivery confirmation), but nope, nothin’. I was pissed.
I’m glad the GAP was able to work with you – cause that sucks!
